"Pop/Stars" (stylized in all caps) is a song by virtual K-pop girl group K/DA. [3] It was released as a single on November 2,2018,as promotion for the 2018 League of Legends World Championship. The single became popular with one of the fastest viewership records for its music video on YouTube. [4] Soyeon and Miyeon from (G)I-dle,Madison Beer and Jaira Burns provided vocals for the song and represented the group as its human counterpart in the live performance at the finals of the tournament. [5]
Commercially,the song topped the World Digital Songs chart,making K/DA the fourth K-pop girl group to top the chart and fifth female act overall. [6] The song has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA),making K/DA and (G)I-dle the first K-pop girl groups in history to achieve this milestone.
K/DA consists of four virtual characters,whose vocals were provided by Soyeon and Miyeon from (G)I-dle,Madison Beer and Jaira Burns. [5] "Pop/Stars" has a length of three minutes and eleven seconds and a tempo of 170 beats per minute. [7] [ unreliable source ] It is a bilingual song,featuring vocals in English by Beer and Burns,and in both English and Korean by Soyeon and Miyeon. [8] The song was composed by Sébastien Najand. [9]
The song was featured in the Ubisoft game Just Dance 2022 . It is also included in an included song pack in the virtual reality game Beat Saber .

The music video for "Pop/Stars" was released alongside the single and was produced by French studio Fortiche Production. [11] It stars characters from the game,and was used to promote new skins for the game. [12] A dance video was also released. [5] The official music video for "Pop/Stars" reached 30 million views on YouTube in five days, [13] and 100 million in one month. On April 2,2019,the music video reached 200 million views. [14] As of December 21,2023,the music video has 580 million views.
Soyeon,Miyeon,Madison Beer,and Jaira Burns performed the single at the 2018 League of Legends World Championship opening ceremony. The singers performed alongside augmented reality versions of the characters that they portrayed. [8] During an online concert by (G)I-dle,the six members performed a cover of "Pop/Stars".
During their Just Me ( )I-dle World Tour,the remaining five members added the song to their regular setlist as well.

I Burn is the fourth Korean extended play by South Korean girl group (G)I-dle. It was released on January 11,2021,by Cube Entertainment and Republic Records. It consists of 3 versions namely,the Winter version,the Flower version and the Fire version. The EP contains six tracks,including the lead single "Hwaa". The album contains various emotions felt in the process of regaining happiness after separation. I Burn is the fourth of the 'I' series,which started from the debut album,I Am (2018). Commercially,the EP had surpassed 200,000 copies,making it the group's first project to do so. I Burn is the group's final release as a sextet,before Soojin's hiatus and subsequent departure from the group in August 2021.
Madison Elle Beer is an American singer and songwriter. Beer gained substantial media coverage when Justin Bieber posted a link to one of her covers she posted on YouTube. She released her debut single,"Melodies",in 2013.
Jeon So-yeon,known mononymously as Soyeon,is a South Korean rapper,singer,songwriter,and record producer under Cube Entertainment. She first gained attention for competing in the television shows Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar before debuting as a solo artist on November 5,2017. On May 2,2018,she debuted as the leader and rapper of the girl group (G)I-dle,for whom she has written and produced most title songs. She is also part of SM Station X girl group project Station Young and has portrayed League of Legends character Akali in the virtual musical groups K/DA and True Damage.
American singer Madison Beer has released two studio albums,one extended play,twenty-three singles and four promotional singles. Her debut studio album,Life Support,was released in February 2021. Beer's second studio album Silence Between Songs was released in September 2023.
Jaira Burns is an American singer. She began her music career by uploading covers on YouTube. Burns made her debut in 2017 with the single "Ugly",which was featured in a commercial for Beats Electronics and Balmain headphone collaboration starring Kylie Jenner. She then released "Burn Slow" a few months later,which serves as the title track of her debut extended play,which was released in July 2018.
(G)I-dle is a South Korean girl group formed by Cube Entertainment in 2018. The group consists of five members:Miyeon,Minnie,Soyeon,Yuqi and Shuhua. The group was originally a sextet,until Soojin left the group on August 14,2021. (G)I-dle debuted on May 2,2018,with the single "Latata" from their first extended play (EP) I Am. They debuted in Japan under U-Cube with Latata on July 31,2019. Since their debut,they have been considered one of the most successful South Korean girl groups outside of the "big four" record labels.

In addition to the four champions of K/DA,Lexie Liu,who was in charge of Seraphine's voice,also participated in the song.
