Potu Narsimha Reddy was an Indian social reformer, and a member of the Satyagraha movement. In 1938, he moved from his native Ratnagiri to Chennur taluq of Adilabad District and purchased 10,000 acres (40 km²) of land. He used his wealth to assist the poor, purchasing food for nearby villages. In 1954 as landowners came under increased pressure from government, which was preparing land reform measures, Reddy voluntarily distributed his land to the poor in his region. He belongs to Dharmaram village near Bheemaram in Jaipur Mandal. He is the architect of mango gardens in all the villages in this region.

Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy was a son of an Indian former Polygar. He was at the heart of a rebellion against the British East India Company (EIC) in 1846, when 5000 peasants rose up in Kurnool district, then in Madras Presidency and now a part of the state of Andhra Pradesh. They were protesting British changes to the traditional agrarian system. Those changes, which included the introduction of the ryotwari system and other attempts to maximise revenue, had deprived village headmen and other higher-status people of their role as revenue collectors and position as landholders, while also impacting on lower-status cultivators by depleting their crops and leaving them impoverished.

Chennamaneni Rajeshwara Rao was an Indian communist leader and politician from the state of Telangana. Between 1957 and 2004 he got elected six times to the State Legislative Assembly. Rajeshwara Rao was active in the Quit India Movement and the struggle against the Nizam's rule of Hyderabad. During the resistance he spend 5 years underground and in jail before entering electoral politics following the integration of Hyderabad state into the Indian Union. He was a long-time member of the Communist Party of India and in 1999 joined the Telugu Desam Party. He retired from active politics in 2009.
Patlolla Indra Reddy (1954-2000) was a four-term member of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, former Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh state and founder of Jai Telangana Party.Born on October 4, 1954 at Kowkuntla village in Chevella Mandal to a poor farming family, Reddy studied MA and LLB in Osmania University. He was the elected Law College Student Union President. Indra Reddy was arrested during the emergency for 18 months. After his release he was elected as sarpanch of his village before he joined the TDP in 1985. Reddy was elected to the State Assembly four times. He was first elected on a Telugu Desam Party ticket in 1985 and served as a minister for education and then a minister for labour and employment in the N T Rama Rao Cabinet.He was re-elected on a TDP ticket in 1989 and 1994. He was minister for home, jails and fire services in the NTR cabinet of 1994-95.During the August 1995 crisis in the TDP, when N T Rama Rao was toppled by his son-in-law N Chandrababu Naidu in a party and family coup, Indra Reddy remained with NTR. After NTR's death in January 1996, Reddy joined Lakshmi Parvathi's party but soon fell out with her and joined the Congress. He was re-elected to the assembly in the September 1999 poll on a Congress ticket.
