Pranas Giedrimas was a Lithuanian sport shooter.

In 1937 he won silver at 25 m rapid fire pistol individual and team events. In 1939 he won another silver in team event.

Greece at the 1896 Summer Olympics

Greece was the host nation of the 1896 Summer Olympics held in Athens. The number of Greek contestants is commonly cited as 169, but as many as 176 Greeks contested events in all nine sports. The Greeks were by far the most successful nation in terms of total medals with 46, 26 more than the United States of America. Nevertheless, their number of first-place finishes (10) was one fewer than the Americans' 11. The Greeks had 172 entries in 39 events. Only 4 events had no Greek entrants—the 400 metres and the high jump in athletics and the vault and the team horizontal bar in gymnastics.

Morrison won his first individual Olympic medal in Sochi when he won a silver in the men's 1000 m after teammate Gilmore Junio selflessly gave up his spot in order for Morrison, who fell at the national qualification event, failed to originally qualify. He won a second individual medal at those games, a bronze in the 1500 m. With four total Olympic medals, Morrison shares the record for the most medals of any Canadian male long track speed skaters along with Gaétan Boucher.

James Guy is an English competitive swimmer who has represented Great Britain in the Olympic Games, the FINA World Championships and the LEN European championships, and England in the Commonwealth Games. Guy specialises in the 200- and 400-metre freestyle, and the 100-metre butterfly. He won two World Championship gold medals in the 200-metre freestyle and 4×200-metre freestyle relay event at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships. In 2016, he won silver in the 4x200m freestyle relay and the 4x100m medley relay at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
