Presenter Search on 3 is a South African reality television show that sees a nationwide audition with the search for a presenter or presenters to host on South Africa's most popular lifestyle television shows such as Top Billing, Expresso and Afternoon Express.

Top Billing is a South African lifestyle television programme that airs on SABC3 on Saturday evenings from 18:00–19:00 and repeats on Sundays at 12:00. It was founded by Basetsana Kumalo and Patience Stevens, who own the Tswelopele Production company. The show is the longest-running lifestyle programme in South Africa, broadcasting since 1996. In addition to a variety of presenters, there is a voice-over guide throughout the programme. A magazine of the same name was launched in March 2004, containing similar content to the show.

Britain's Got Talent is a televised British talent show competition, and part of the global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell. Presented by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, it is produced by both Thames and Syco Entertainment, distributed by Fremantle, and broadcast on ITV every year in late Spring to early Summer. The show premiered on 9 June 2007 following the success of America's Got Talent the previous year; it was initially planned for 2005, but a dispute between the broadcaster and its originally intended host led to production being suspended for two years.

The seventh season of American Idol, the annual reality show and singing competition, began on January 15, 2008, and concluded on May 21, 2008. Ryan Seacrest continued to host the show with Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson returning as judges. David Cook was announced the winner of the competition on May 21, 2008, defeating runner-up David Archuleta by a margin of roughly 12 million votes out of over 97 million, which was at that time the highest recorded vote total in the show's history. The X Factor is a British reality television music competition to find new singing talent. Created by Simon Cowell, the show began broadcasting on 4 September 2004 with 445 episodes broadcast over fifteen series as of 2 December 2018. The show is produced by Fremantle's Thames and Cowell's production company Syco Entertainment. It is broadcast on ITV in the UK and simulcast on Virgin Media One in Ireland. "X Factor" refers to the undefinable "something" that makes for star quality. The first three series were presented by Kate Thornton. Since series four, with the exception of series twelve, the show has been presented by Dermot O'Leary. The X Factor previously had a spin-off behind-the-scenes show called The Xtra Factor. This aired until 2016. It was replaced by an online spin-off show Xtra Bites exclusively on the ITV Hub. The main show was rested in 2019, with Cowell and ITV opting to broadcast The X Factor: Celebrity and The X Factor: The Band as mini-series instead. At present, the programme is contracted to run until 2022.

You Can Dance: Po prostu tańcz! is a televised Polish dance competition with a format based on the American show So You Think You Can Dance. Dancers compete to win PLN 100,000, and a 3-month scholarship in dance school Broadway Dance Center and International Dance Academy in Los Angeles from season 7 on. So You Think You Can Dance is an American televised dance competition show that airs on Fox in the United States and is the flagship series of the international So You Think You Can Dance television franchise. It was created by American Idol producers Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and is produced by 19 Entertainment and Dick Clark Productions The series premiered on July 20, 2005, with over ten million viewers and ended the summer season as the top-rated show on television. The first season was hosted by American news personality Lauren Sánchez. Since the second season, it has been hosted by former British children's television personality and game show emcee Cat Deeley.
Dance India Dance is an Indian dance competition reality television series that airs on Zee TV, created and produced by Essel Vision Productions. It premiered on 30 January 2009. Here the judges are called Masters and Mithun Chakraborty is called Grand Master . Season 7 premiered with a different concept.
Idols South Africa V was the fifth season of South African reality interactive talent show based on the British talent show Pop Idol. It premiered on Sunday, 1 February 2009, with a summer vibe and new rules. Instead of the search happening in autumn–winter as with previous seasons, the auditions began in mid-December and run through the holiday season.
Dalen Lance(Pronounced "Day-lyn"), born Dalen Lance Jooste, is a South African television host based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was the host of the reality TV dance competition Step Up or Step Out for two seasons and a host of the early-morning TV show Dagbreek on DSTV's Kyknet channel. Lance has also performed as a presenter on television shows such as High School Musical, Spotlight South Africa, 20-Something, Pap Idols, and Bling. He released his debut album in 2006, titled Be Your Man, along with a single of the same name. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Financial Accounting at the University of Cape Town in 2004 and a Master of Business Leadership degree in 2014 through the University of South Africa (Unisa) Graduate School of Business Leadership.
The Voice of Greece is a Greek television talent show created by John de Mol and based on the concept The Voice of Holland. It is part of an international series. It began airing on ANT1 on January 10, 2014 and the final of second season on June 21, 2015. The third season premiered on November 16, 2016 on Skai TV. She also is a presenter on her television show on channel TLC Thando Bares All. She played the role of Nolwazi Buzo on the South African soap opera, from 2014-2017 on Generations:The Legacy. She is also a radio DJ on 5FM, having started her radio career in 2008 at UJFM before moving to popular youth radio station YFM in 2011. At the same time she landed the lead role of Thando Nkosi in the hit sitcom My Perfect Family which went on to see 3 seasons. She later joined 5FM in 2013 on The Roger Goode Show before landing her own show weekdays on 5FM, The Thando Thabooty Show The Thabooty Drive. Other prominent work include, club 808, Intersexions, Ngempela, Kowethu, 1s and 2s, and Single Guys. Thando's father died when she was in grade 8.

Dominicana's Got Talent is a Dominican reality television series which airs on the Color Visión television network. The show is part of the global British Got Talent franchise. It is the first edition of the franchise to be based in a Caribbean country. Dominicana's Got Talent follows the Got Talent format, in which contestants audition in front of four judges and a studio audience. Up until the semifinal and final rounds, the judges decide whether or not a contestant advances in the competition. During the semifinal and final rounds, viewers vote on which contestants will advance.
