Priscilla Thompson is an American journalist serving as a correspondent based in Houston, Texas for NBC News. She was previously based in New York. She previously worked at WPDE in Myrtle Beach and CNN, working as an associate producer. [1]
Born in Houston, Texas, Thompson attended and graduated from the University of Texas-Austin with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. While at the university, she interned at KXAN in Austin, Texas. She then went to Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, majoring in broadcast journalism, documentary filmmaking, and holds a Master of Science in journalism, which she graduated with as well. In addition, she also taught at Teach For America in Houston. [2]
In 2016, Thompson joined WPDE, an ABC affiliate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as a multimedia journalist. [3]
