Pura Vida is the eighth album by the Spanish alternative metal band Hamlet. The sound is more aggressive than Syberia. It was recorded by Sergio Marcos and Sonia Robles in Sonora Estudios (Madrid, Spain); mixed by Colin Richardson in Miloco Studios (London, UK) and mastered by Alan Douches in West West Side Music (New York, USA). Is the last album with guitarist Pedro Sánchez.

Alternative metal is a rock music fusion genre that infuses heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres not normally associated with metal. Alternative metal bands are often characterized by heavily downtuned, mid-paced guitar riffs, a mixture of accessible melodic vocals and harsh vocals and sometimes unconventional sounds within other heavy metal styles. The term has been in use since the 1980s, although it came into prominence in the 1990s.

Hamlet (band) Spanish band

Hamlet is a five-piece metal band from Madrid, Spain. They formed in 1987 and are still active. They are signed to Maldito Records and have released twelve albums, their most recent being Berlín was released in 2018. They are the pioneers of alternative metal in Spain with their albums Sanatorio de Muñecos (1994) and Revolución 12.111 (1996).

<i>Syberia</i> (album) 2005 studio album by Hamlet

Syberia is the seventh album by the Spanish alternative metal band Hamlet. This album has a slower tempos and more melodic sound than their previous works, with some elements of pop-rock. Syberia was mixed by Sergio Marcos at Sonora Estudios in Madrid and mastered by George Marino in Sterling Sound. It is the first album with bassist Álvaro Tenorio.

Y. is the second studio album released by Spanish singer-songwriter Bebe. Released on June 29, 2009, the album received positive critical reviews, and entered the Spanish Album Chart at number one. It was released after Bebe's four-year hiatus from the music business, following the success of her debut album Pafuera Telarañas. Recorded over a year in Madrid and Cadiz, Spain, Y. includes the Latin Grammy Award-nominated song "Me Fui" and the single "Pa' Mi Casa".
