QFBA is the educational arm of the Qatar Financial Centre Authority. It is aimed at entry-level to senior executive professionals, instructing them in financial disciplines within the banking, asset management, capital markets and insurance sectors. It intends to increase the capacity of and support the creation of financial services expertise concerning the financial sector of Qatar. This is linked to the Human Development pillar of Qatar Vision 2030), seeing the transformation of Qatar into a knowledge-based economy.
QFBA is housed inside the Qatar Financial Centre (Tower 2) situated in West Bay, Doha. The academy occupies five floors which include administration offices, a trading floor simulation room run by Thomson Reuters and coaching pods and conference facilities.
The economy of Qatar is one of the highest in the world based on GDP per capita, ranking generally among the top ten richest countries on world rankings for 2015 and 2016 data compiled by the World Bank, the United Nations, and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The country's economy has grown despite sanctions by its neighbors, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The London Institute of Banking & Finance is the oldest training and professional body for banking and financial services in England and Wales, and works internationally with partners to establish ethical and professional standards across the sector around the world. Yousef Hussain Kamal Al Emadi is a Qatari politician and businessman who served as economy and finance minister from 1998 to 2013.
Silatech is an organization based in Qatar, spearheaded by the wife of the former Emir of Qatar Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser. The current CEO of this organization is Ms Sabah AlHaidoos. Silatech means "your connection" in Arabic. The initiative seeks to create jobs and economic opportunities for young people in the Arab world, targeting 18- to 30-year-olds. by 2016, Silatech claims to have helped 200,000 young Arabs to obtain jobs. The initiative’s model involves building partnerships with governments, private companies and NGOs.
Healthcare standards in Qatar are generally high. Qatari citizens are covered by a national health insurance scheme, while expatriates must either receive health insurance from their employers, or in the case of the self-employed, purchase insurance. Qatar's healthcare spending is among the highest in the Middle East, with $4.7 billion being invested in healthcare in 2014. This was a $2.1 billion increase from 2010. The premier healthcare provider in the country is the Hamad Medical Corporation, established by the government as a non-profit healthcare provider, which runs a network of hospitals, an ambulance services, and a home healthcare service, all of which are accredited by the Joint Commission.
The Tadawul Group is a private Qatari holding company based in Doha. It was founded in 2006 by Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah al-Thani and is headquartered in Ezdan Towers, in the West Bay area of Doha. Tadawul's portfolio of investment consists of real estate, banking and finance, consumer goods, media, industry, healthcare, insurance and leisure centers.
Kazakhstan–Qatar relations are the bilateral relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State of Qatar. Diplomatic relations were established in 1993. Kazakhstan has an embassy in Doha. Qatar has an embassy in Astana.
The State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Spain formed diplomatic relations in December 1972. Qatar maintains an embassy in Madrid, while Spain has an embassy in Doha.
