The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) is the naval service branch of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) responsible for defending the country against any sea-borne threats, and the protection of its sea lines of communications, that would compromise Singapore as a global trading hub. The RSN traces its origins to the Royal Navy when Singapore was still a Crown colony of the British Empire. After Singapore's independence from Malaysia in 1965, the service was formally established in 1967, and had undergone a substantial modernisation ever since—which led them into becoming the most powerful navy in Southeast Asia.
The Formidable-class multi-role stealth frigates are the latest surface platforms to enter into service with the Republic of Singapore Navy, and are multi-mission derivatives of the French Navy's La Fayette-class frigate. The six ships form the First Flotilla of the RSN.
The Endurance-class tank landing ships (LST) are the largest class of ships in the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN). They were designed and built by Singapore Technologies (ST) Marine to replace the old County-class tank landing ships. The four ships form the Third Flotilla of the RSN.
USS Holmes County (LST-836) was an LST-542-class tank landing ship built for the United States Navy during World War II. Named after counties in Florida, Mississippi, and Ohio, she was the only U.S. Naval vessel to bear the name.
The Fearless-class patrol vessels were built by Singapore Technologies (ST) Marine for the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) in the 1990s. USS LST-649 originally was a United States Navy LST-542-class tank landing ship built during World War II and in commission from 1944 to 1946 and again in the late 1952. She was sold to the Republic of Singapore Navy and renamed RSS Resolution (L-204).
USS LST-629 originally was a United States Navy LST-542-class tank landing ship built during World War II and in commission from 1944 to 1946 and again in the late 1952. She was sold to the Republic of Singapore Navy and renamed RSS Excellence (L-202).

HSwMS Västergötland (Vgd) was the lead ship of the Västergötland-class submarines, named after Västergötland, Sweden. The submarine was launched on 19 July 1986 and entered service with the Swedish Navy on 20 October 1988. Västergötland served with the Swedish Navy until 1997 when the submarine was decommissioned. In 2005 Västergötland and sister boat HSwMS Hälsingland were sold to Singapore, where Västergötland was renamed RSS Swordsman and entered service on 30 April 2013.
HSwMS Hälsingland (Hgd), was the second submarine of the Västergötland class. The vessel was named after Hälsingland, Sweden. The submarine was launched on 31 August 1987 and entered service with the Swedish Navy on 20 October 1988. Hälsingland served with the Swedish Navy until 1997 when the submarine was decommissioned. In 2005 Hälsingland and sister boat HSwMS Västergötland were sold to Singapore, where Hälsingland was renamed RSS Archer and entered service on 2 December 2011. Archer remains in service.
Endurance(207) is the lead ship of the Endurance-class landing platform dock of the Republic of Singapore Navy.
Resolution(208) is the second ship of the Endurance-class landing platform dock of the Republic of Singapore Navy.
Persistence(209) is the third ship of the Endurance-class landing platform dock of the Republic of Singapore Navy.
Endeavour(210) is the fourth ship of the Endurance-class landing platform dock of the Republic of Singapore Navy.
RSS Valour (89) is the second ship of the Victory-class corvette of the Republic of Singapore Navy.
