Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RIT), Kottayam, India is a state government-owned engineering college in the southern Indian state of Kerala. Located 14 km away from Kottayam, Kerala, India, near Pampady, the institute was founded in 1991 by the Government of Kerala. The college is affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University since its inception in 2015.

Lt. Col. P. R. Godavarma Raja, often referred to as G. V. Raja, was an Indian sports and tourism promoter and administrator, pilot, sportsman and Sanskrit scholar. Raja occupied the post of Council President till he was killed in a flight mishap in 1971. G. V.
