Rarities/B-Sides is the first compilation album by The Raveonettes, and it was released on 15 December 2011 on 500 CD and 500 double 180 gram LP. [3]
This limited edition collection compiles b-side and rare material spanning Whip It On , Chain Gang of Love , Pretty in Black and Lust Lust Lust . [3] Covers released as b-sides or bonus tracks are not included; specifically Eddie Cochran's C'mon Everybody , Hank Williams' I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry , and Buddy Holly's Everyday .
Rarities/B-Sides marks the first time the 2003 single The Christmas Song has been available on an album, as the song was absent from the 2008 Christmas EP Wishing You a Rave Christmas . Despite that the song has never been included on an album, Sune Rose Wagner stated "it has since become our biggest selling song ever with appearances in countless movies, commercials, etc." [4]
The album art contains various photographs and a poster by contemporary artist and photographer Todd Hido. [5] Hido previously worked with The Raveonettes when he directed the video for the Raven in the Grave single Apparitions. [6]
NME's Hardeep Phull gave the compilation a positive review stating "Quality control has clearly never been a problem for the Raveonettes. Quantity control on the other hand has been something of on an ongoing nightmare for the Danish duo. Having an embarrassment of riches comes with its own problems but thanks to Rarities/B-Sides, that problem has been emphatically solved." [7]

The La's were an English rock band from Liverpool, originally active from 1983 until 1992. Fronted by singer, songwriter and guitarist Lee Mavers, the group are best known for their hit single "There She Goes". The band was formed by Mike Badger in 1983 and Mavers joined the next year, although for most of the group's history, the frequently changing line-up revolved around the core duo of Lee Mavers and John Power along with numerous other guitarists and drummers including Paul Hemmings, John "Timmo" Timson, Peter "Cammy" Cammell, Iain Templeton, John "Boo" Byrne, Chris Sharrock, Barry Sutton and Neil Mavers.
The Raveonettes are a Danish indie rock duo, consisting of Sune Rose Wagner on guitar, instruments and vocals, and Sharin Foo on bass, guitar and vocals. Their music is characterized by close two-part vocal harmonies inspired by The Everly Brothers coupled with hard-edged electric guitar overlaid with liberal doses of noise. Their songs juxtapose the structural and chordal simplicity of 1950s and 1960s rock with intense electric instrumentation, driving beats, and often dark lyrical content, similar to another of the band's influences, The Velvet Underground.
The Wildhearts are an English rock band, formed in 1989 in Newcastle upon Tyne. The band's sound is a mixture of hard rock and melodic pop music, often described in the music press as combining influences as diverse as the Beatles and 1980s-era Metallica. The Wildhearts achieved several top 20 singles and two top 10 albums in Britain, though they also faced difficulties with record companies and many internal problems often relating to drugs and depression. Much of the band's early career was affected by bitter feuds with their record company, East West.

Whip It On is the debut mini-album of The Raveonettes. It was released on 6 August 2002. Every song is in the key of B-flat minor in contrast to the follow-up album Chain Gang of Love, which is almost entirely in the key of B-flat major. Each song also features only three chords.
Chain Gang of Love is debut studio album by the Danish rock duo, The Raveonettes. The album was released in 2003 by Sony Records and was co-produced by Richard Gottehrer, who had previously worked on hit albums by Blondie, the Go-Go's and Richard Hell & the Voidoids. All of the songs, but two, are under 3 minutes long and are written in the key of B flat major; a concept similar to their previous record, Whip It On, whose tracks had a similar length and were written in the key of B flat minor.
Volume 2 is a compilation album by American rock band CKY. It was released by Distant Recordings and Teil Martin International on February 27, 1999, the same day as the band's debut studio album Volume 1. The album features a number of early demo recordings, as well as skits and samples from the first CKY video, and recordings of prank calls performed by Brandon DiCamillo.

The Destroyed Room: B-sides and Rarities is a compilation album by Sonic Youth. This album contains tracks previously only available on vinyl, limited-release compilations, imports and B-sides to international singles. The tracks, which also include unreleased material, were hand-picked by the band. The album was released on December 12, 2006. A double vinyl LP edition with two extra tracks was released in early 2007 on the band's own Goofin' Records label. The cover image, as well as the album's name, is "The Destroyed Room", a 1978 photograph by Canadian artist Jeff Wall.
Sune Rose Wagner is a Danish songwriter, guitarist, and singer, best known for playing in the rock group The Raveonettes. In addition to his own bands, Wagner has produced, recorded, and mixed albums by acts such as Dum Dum Girls, Crocodiles, and Louise Burns.
Lust Lust Lust is the third studio album by The Raveonettes, released on 12 November 2007 in the UK and on 19 February 2008 in the US, with bonus tracks included. The album was recorded completely by Sharin Foo and Sune Rose Wagner with no studio musicians. The Raveonettes used drum machines instead of real drums, and recorded most bass and non-guitar sounds with keyboards.
DGC Rarities Vol. 1 is a rarities album compiled by DGC Records and released in 1994. The songs featured on this album are all B-sides, demos, covers and other rarities recorded by bands on the label. Despite the implications of the title, plans for other volumes were shelved.
Dum Dum Girls was an American rock band, formed in 2008. It began as the bedroom recording project of singer and songwriter Dee Dee. She is currently based in Los Angeles. The name is a double homage to the Vaselines' album Dum Dum and the Iggy Pop song "Dum Dum Boys".

Wishing You a Rave Christmas is the fourth EP by The Raveonettes, and was released on 25 November 2008. It is the third release in a three-part release of digital download EPs over three months. For reasons unknown, the previously released single The Christmas Song is not included in this collection.

End of Daze is the fourth EP by Dum Dum Girls, released September 25, 2012 by Sub Pop. This was the third Dum Dum Girls recording produced by Richard Gottehrer and the Raveonettes' Sune Rose Wagner, and the fourth overall for Gottehrer.
Many recordings and performances by the Beach Boys have attained some level of public circulation without being available as a legal release, and several albums by the band or its individual members were fully assembled or near completion before being shelved, rejected, or revised as an entirely new project. Since the early 1980s, numerous rarities compilations and album reissues have been released with studio outtakes included as bonus tracks.
B-Sides and Rarities is a compilation album by American dream pop band Beach House, released on June 30, 2017 through Sub Pop in North America, Bella Union in Europe, and Mistletone Records in Australia. The compilation contains B-sides and rare, unreleased cuts along with two new songs, "Chariot" and "Baseball Diamond". It also includes the band's cover of Queen's "Play the Game".
