Rey Valentin

Reynaldo Valentin (born February 3, 1979) is an American actor. He is best known for his roles in Generation Kill as Cpl. Gabe Garza, One Tree Hill as Nicholas "Nick" Chavez and in The Bedford Diaries as Chris Hernandez.

Valentín Elizalde Valencia was a regional Mexican singer. Nicknamed "El Gallo de Oro", he was known for his off-key style. His biggest hits included: "Vete Ya," "Ebrio de Amor", and "Soy Así". Some of his songs were narcocorridos eulogizing Mexican drug lords like Vicente Carrillo Fuentes. He also wrote lyrics honoring Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. He was murdered as he left a performance; allegedly by members of the drug trafficking cartel Los Zetas.

Generation Kill is an American seven-part television miniseries produced for HBO that aired from July 13 to August 24, 2008. It is based on Evan Wright's 2004 book Generation Kill, about his experience as an embedded reporter with the US Marine Corps' 1st Reconnaissance Battalion during the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and was adapted for television by David Simon, Ed Burns, and Wright. The miniseries was directed by Susanna White and Simon Cellan Jones and produced by Andrea Calderwood. The ensemble cast includes Alexander Skarsgård as Sergeant Brad "Iceman" Colbert, Jon Huertas as Sergeant Tony "Poke" Espera, James Ransone as Corporal Josh Ray Person, and Lee Tergesen as Wright.

The Jailhouse premiered on May 1, 2009 at the Cape Fear Independent Film Festival, was released in 16 theaters in 10 states beginning May 4, 2010.
