Abergele is a market town and community, situated on the north coast of Wales between the holiday resorts of Colwyn Bay and Rhyl, in Conwy County Borough and in the historic county of Denbighshire. Its northern suburb of Pensarn lies on the Irish Sea coast. Abergele and Pensarn railway station serves both resorts. Abergele is often overlooked due to the popularity of towns in nearby Rhyl, Prestatyn, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno and Conwy. Only 46.5% of the population was born in Wales as of the 2011 census.

Brynamman is a village on the south side of the Black Mountain, part of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The village is split into Upper Brynamman and Lower Brynamman by the River Amman, which is also the boundary between the counties of Carmarthenshire and Neath Port Talbot. Ruins of stone dwellings, an early type of lime kiln and rectangular medieval buildings found on the mountain show that people have lived in this area for a long time. The population of Brynamman was 2,608 as of 2011; the urban area including Gwaun-Cae-Gurwen was 5,692.
Meliden is a village between Prestatyn and Dyserth in Denbighshire, Wales. It grew up around the locality of lead mines and limestone quarries. The placename "Meliden" has variously been claimed to be derived from that of Bishop Melitus or St. Melyd ; its Welsh placename, "Alltmelyd", means "wooded hill of Melyd". The railway between Prestatyn and Dyserth, long since lifted and formerly with sidings in the village, is now a public walkway and nature trek. It has a 9-hole golf course, which is split in half by the former railway/nature walk. The local school, St. Melyd Primary, is a feeder school to the High School, Prestatyn.
Ffrith Beach, Prestatyn, Denbighshire, North Wales is one of three sandy beaches along the Prestatyn coastline - Barkby Beach, Central Beach and Ffrith Beach. A promenade joins the three beaches, and, at around 4-miles in length, is used by walkers and cyclists. It has been incorporated into the National Cycle Network. The views along the promenade extend from the Snowdonian Mountains, the Great Orme of Llandudno and Anglesey in the west, through to The Wirral to the east, and Prestatyn Hillside to the south. On very clear days, it is possible to see the Isle of Man, the Cumbrian Mountains and Blackpool Tower, while the BHP Petroleum Douglas oil and gas platform in Liverpool Bay is usually visible.
The 2012 Denbighshire County Council election took place in Denbighshire, Wales, on 3 May 2012 to elect members of Denbighshire Council. This was the same day as other 2012 United Kingdom local elections. The previous elections took place in 2008 and the next all-council elections took place in 2017.
Prestatyn North is the name of one of the electoral wards of the town of Prestatyn, Denbighshire, Wales. It covers the northwest part of the town, either side of Victoria Road close to the beach. Prestatyn East ward lies to the east, while Rhyl East lies to the west.
Rhyl West is the name of one of the electoral wards of the town of Rhyl, Denbighshire, Wales. It covers the northwest part of the town, including the town centre at one end and as far as Marine Lake and the Marina Quay on the western edge. Rhyl East ward lies to the east, Rhyl South West to the south and Conwy County Borough's Kinmel Bay ward to the west.
The Acrrington/Rossendale Built-up area is an urban area which extends from the town of Accrington to Rawtenstall and Bacup in Lancashire, England. The area takes in parts of the boroughs of Hyndburn and Rossendale and includes villages and towns that surround Accrington, Rawtenstall and Bacup. The area was recorded at having a population of 125,059. The area was two separate urban areas according to the 2001 census but were combined into one for the 2011 census. According to the 2001 census the Accrington urban area had a population of 71,000 whilst the Rossendale Urban Area had a population of 49,000.
The Barnsley-Dearne Valley Built-up area is an urban area which extends from the town of Barnsley to Mexborough in South Yorkshire, England. The area takes in parts of the boroughs of Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham. The area includes villages and towns that lie in the Dearne and Rother Valleys. The area was recorded at having a population of 223,281.
The Burnley Built-up area is an urban area or conurbation which extends from the town of Burnley to Padiham, Brierfield, Nelson, Barrowford and Colne in Lancashire, England. The area takes in parts of the boroughs of Burnley and Pendle, and also small parts of Hyndburn and Ribble Valley. It also includes a number of villages such as Blacko, Trawden and Worsthorne. In 2011 the area was recorded at having a population of 149,422. It is the third most populous urban area in Lancashire after Preston and Blackpool, with slightly more people than the urban areas of Cambridge or York.
The Birkenhead Built-up area is an urban area in England, which covers the towns of Birkenhead, Wallasey, Bebington and Ellesmere Port in both Merseyside and Cheshire. It is defined for certain statistical purposes by NOMIS, within the Office of National Statistics. The area is partly within the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, and partly within the Cheshire West and Chester local authority. The definition includes suburbs in the eastern part of the Wirral Peninsula physically contiguous with the main urban areas, but not physically separate towns and villages. The area was originally within the historic county of Cheshire.
The Norwich Built-up Area is an urban area which extends from the city of Norwich to Taverham, Horsham St Faith and Cringleford in Norfolk, England. The area takes in the district of the City of Norwich, and parts of Broadland and South Norfolk districts. The area was recorded at having a population of 213,166.
The Ipswich Built-up Area is a Built up Area, a statistical unit devised by the UK Office of National Statistics to organise data for an urban area which extends from the town of Ipswich to Kesgrave, Woodbridge, Bramford and Martlesham Heath in Suffolk, England. The area takes in the borough of Ipswich, parts of the East Suffolk and part of the Mid Suffolk. The area was recorded at having a population of 178,835.
An election to Denbighshire County Council took place on 5 May 2022 as part of the 2022 Welsh local elections. The previous elections took place in May 2017 and the next are scheduled to happen in 2027
The Wrexham Built-up area is an area of land defined by the United Kingdom Office for National Statistics (ONS) for population monitoring purposes. It is an urban conurbation fully within Wrexham County Borough and consists of the urban area centred on the city of Wrexham and the historically industrial settlements to the west including Gwersyllt, Rhostyllen, Brymbo, Bradley and New Broughton.
Central Lincolnshire is the name given to a region of Lincolnshire in the East Midlands, England. The area covers the districts of North Kesteven and West Lindsey as well as the City of Lincoln. The name is used for the planning and development of a part of Lincolnshire surrounding Lincoln, North Hykeham, Sleaford, Market Rasen, Caistor and Gainsborough as well as other outlying villages and hamlets.
