Rick & Janis Carnes are an American husband-and-wife singer-songwriter duo consisting of Rick Carnes (born June 30, 1950, in Fayetteville, Arkansas) and Janis Carnes (born May 21, 1947, in Shelbyville, Tennessee).
They were married in 1973 before moving to Nashville, Tennessee in 1978. Janis was signed to RCA Records in 1980 as a solo artist before her and Rick signed with Elektra Records in 1982. They later signed with Warner Bros. Records and had a minor hit with "Does He Ever Mention My Name", which peaked at No. 32. [1]
After being dropped from Warner, they were signed to MCA Records but were later dropped. The couple have since continued working as songwriters, and their songs have been recorded by artists including J.C. Jones, Reba McEntire, Steve Wariner and Garth Brooks. [2] [3]

Kim Carnes is an American singer and songwriter born and raised in Los Angeles. A veteran writer of many of her own hits, as well as those for numerous other artists, she began her career in 1966 as a member of folk group The New Christy Minstrels, before embarking on a solo career as a songwriter and performer in the early 1970s, playing in local clubs. She also worked for several years as a session background singer with the famed Waters Sisters, Maxine Waters Willard and Julia Waters Tillman, who were later featured in the acclaimed 2013 documentary, 20 Feet from Stardom). In 1971, after she signed her first publishing deal with Jimmy Bowen, Carnes released her debut album Rest on Me. Released in 1975, Carnes' self-titled second album primarily contained self-penned songs, including her first charting single "You're a Part of Me," which reached No. 35 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. In the following year, Carnes released Sailin', produced by the legendary Jerry Wexler, which featured "Love Comes from Unexpected Places." The song won the American Song Festival and the award for Best Composition at the Tokyo Song Festival in 1976.

In the 1980s and into the 1990s, Conley also charted more than 30 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, of which 18 reached Number One. Dean Buffalini, known professionally as Dusty Drake, is an American country music artist. Drake played various venues in his native Pennsylvania for several years before moving to Nashville, Tennessee, co-writing a 1996 single for Joe Diffie. By 2003, Drake was signed to Warner Bros. Records as a recording artist. That year, he released three singles from his self-titled debut album, including "One Last Time", his first Top 40 entry on the Hot Country Songs chart. Drake released a fourth single for the label before exiting in 2004.

Josiah Leming, also known by his stage name Josiah and the Bonnevilles, is an American singer-songwriter originally from Morristown, Tennessee. At the age of 17, Leming dropped out of high school and began traveling across the United States to play shows while living out of his car. After a brief stint on American Idol, he eventually caught the eye of executives at Warner Bros. Records who signed him to his first major label record deal in 2008. Leming recorded in London with Warner Bros. and released Angels Undercover EP and Punk Ass Rain EP before his debut album, Come On Kid, was released on September 13, 2010. Shortly after the release of his album, Leming and Warner Bros. went their separate ways. Leming continues to release music independently as Josiah and the Bonnevilles, and in 2024 completed his first ever sold out headlining tour.
