Rise to Addiction, also known as RTA, are a British heavy metal band formed in 2004 by former Blaze Bayley guitarists John Slater and Steve Wray.
A self-titled EP was released on Madman records in 2004 with the help of Harry Armstrong on vocals Rob Naylor on bass, and Ben Calvert on drums, and it was produced by Andy Sneap.
RTA's full touring lineup Rise to Addiction was completed in 2005 by ex-ninedenine members Leigh Oates on vocals, bass player Joel Graham and drummer Aynsley Dickinson.
RTA released the Andy Sneap-produced album A New Shade of Black for the Soul in May 2007 on Belgium label Mausoleum. The album was released in the US in October 2007. During the same year RTA toured as support with US doom band Trouble across Europe and then later with Warrior Soul RTA were also guests at Bloodstock Open Air (UK) and Motornalet (CZ) festivals.
In 2009 guitarist and founder member John Slater left the band during the recording of their second album[ citation needed ]. On completing the recording on 9 July, the finished album, Some Other Truth, was released in November the same year. Slater wasn't replaced on guitar and RTA continued as a four-piece and returned to the live scene in August by playing dates in the Czech Republic and announced a full UK tour for September with the alt/metal band Illuminatus.
2009 also saw Aynsley Dickinson and Leigh Oates join Ashley Homar (guitar), Stefan Blackwood (guitar) and Ian Gaunt (bass) to create alt rock band Order of Voices. On 16 December it was announced that bassist Joel Graham was the new replacement in the British thrash band Evile for Mike Alexander who died while on tour in Sweden.
In 2012, Leigh Oates and Steve Wray released an EP called Bury the Ones We Love with the band Soldierfield.

Blaze Bayley is an English singer, musician, songwriter, and lyricist. He pursued a solo career, which established from 2000 until present, and already released ten studio albums. He was the lead singer of Wolfsbane from 1984 to 1994. He was also the lead singer of Iron Maiden during Bruce Dickinson's absence from 1994 to 1999, before Dickinson decided to reunite with Iron Maiden.
Smile Empty Soul is an American rock band, originally from Santa Clarita, California, United States. It was started in 1998 by Sean Danielsen, Ryan Martin (bass), and Derek Gledhill (drums). Russell Allen is an American singer and lyricist best known as the vocalist of American progressive metal band Symphony X. Sabbat were an English thrash metal band from Nottingham consisting of Martin Walkyier (vocals), Andy Sneap (guitars), Simon Jones (guitars), Frazer Craske (bass) and Simon Negus (drums). They are considered one of the "big four" of British thrash metal along with Acid Reign, Onslaught, and Xentrix, who were all responsible for developing and popularizing the country's thrash metal scene in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Over their initial six-year run Sabbat released three studio albums, four demos, two split singles/compilation albums, two singles and a live VHS. In 1988 the band released their debut album History of a Time to Come which earned them further recognition. Their next album, Dreamweaver (1989) was also critically acclaimed. Shortly after the release of Mourning Has Broken (1991) tensions with the band began to surface, most of them revolved around money. Sabbat first disbanded in 1991. After an attempted reunion in 2001 which was blocked by Sneap, the original Sabbat lineup reunited in 2006. In December of that year they performed together for the first time in sixteen years at five different venues in England. One was a warm-up gig in Nottingham, the other four in support of Cradle of Filth. The band has continued to perform live around the world but has not released any new material. In a January 2014 interview with Decibel magazine Andy Sneap confirmed that Sabbat had once again split-up.
Evile are an English thrash metal band from Huddersfield, formed in 2004. They have experienced numerous line-up changes over the years, with drummer Ben Carter being the only member of the original line-up to have stayed consistently. The current line-up consists of Carter, lead guitarist and vocalist Ol Drake, bassist Joel Graham, and rhythm guitarist Adam Smith, who replaced Drake's older brother Matt in 2020.

Five Serpent's Teeth is the third album by the English thrash metal band Evile. It was released on 26 September 2011 in Europe and on 18 October 2011 in North America The album was produced by Russ Russell at Parlour Studios, Kettering, England. It is the first album not to feature original bassist Mike Alexander, who died while on tour just weeks after the release of Infected Nations. It is the first album to feature bassist Joel Graham. On 6 June, the band posted a new song, "Eternal Empire", on their YouTube Channel. The album's full track listing was announced on 21 June 2011 and the album's artwork was unveiled on 6 July 2011.
