Robert FitzPayne (died 1315), Lord of Fitzpaine, was an English noble. He also inherited a moiety of the barony of Winterbourne St Martin.
Robert was a son of Robert FitzPayne and Roberge. He was summoned to Parliament between 1299 and 1314. He participated in the Battle of Falkirk in 1298 and was at the siege of Caerlaverock in 1300. Robert was created a Knight of the Bath in 1306. [2] He was governor of Winchester Castle in 1307. Robert died in 1315.
Robert married Isabelle, daughter of John de Clifford and Margery Hereward, they are known to have had the following known issue:
Gerald FitzGerald, 14th Earl of Desmond, also counted as 15th or 16th, owned large part of the Irish province of Munster. In 1565 he fought the private Battle of Affane against his neighbours, the Butlers. After this he was for some time a prisoner in the Tower of London. The First Desmond Rebellion took place during his absence. He was the leader of the Second Desmond Rebellion from 1579 to his death and was therefore called the Rebel Earl. He was attainted in 1582 and went into hiding but was hunted down and killed.
Piers Butler, 8th Earl of Ormond, 1st Earl of Ossory also known as Red Piers, was from the Polestown branch of the Butler family of Ireland.

Walter Fitz Robert of Woodham Walter (c.1124–1198), lord of Little Dunmow, Essex, was steward under Stephen of England, having succeeded to that position upon the death of his father, Robert Fitz Richard. Walter died in 1198 and was buried at Little Dunmow, in the choir of the priory of Austin canons.

Thomas Butler, Viscount Thurles was the son and heir apparent of Walter Butler, 11th Earl of Ormond, whom he predeceased. He resided at Thurles Castle, Thurles, County Tipperary. He was the father of the Irish statesman and Royalist commander James Butler, 1st Duke of Ormonde.
