Robin Chapman Chow (born December 17, 1957) [1] is an American former competitive judoka.
Chapman was born in Pittsburgh and first competed nationally in judo for the University of Pittsburgh. [2]
Chapman was a 5-time medalist in U.S. national judo championships, gold medalist in 1981 and 1983. [1]
In international competition, she was a 6-time medalist. [1] She won a gold medal at the 1983 Pan American Games in the Women's Half Middleweight class, and placed 5th in her class in the 1982 Women's World Judo Championships. [1] [3]
In 1988, Chapman married Greg Chow, an orthopedist and fellow judoka. [2] They have three children, all whom qualified at the 2008 Olympic trials, [4] and live in Honolulu, where they assist at Hawaii Tenri Judo Club under Hiroshi Toriyumi. [2]
Tadahiro Nomura is a retired Japanese judoka. He is the only judoka in the world who has won three individual Olympic gold medals in a row, all in the extra lightweight (–60 kg) division.
Yael Arad is an Israeli judoka. She was the first Israeli to win an Olympic medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona in 1992. She is widely recognized as one of Israel's most successful athletes and is credited with bringing judo into the athletic mainstream.

Clarissa Kyoko Mei Ling Chun (陳美玲) is the head coach of the Iowa Hawkeyes Women's wrestling program, formerly, the USA Wrestling assistant National coach and an American Olympic women's freestyle 48 kg (105.5 lbs) wrestler. Chun was the first female wrestler from Hawaii to win a medal at the Olympics. She was inducted into the 2018 Hawaii Sports Hall of Fame and 2022 National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member.
Kayla Jean Harrison is an American professional mixed martial artist and former judoka. She won two Olympic gold medals and multiple world championship medals in judo, and was the first American to win an Olympic gold medal in judo.
Esther San Miguel Busto is a Spanish judoka. She has won six national titles and two European titles for the half-heavyweight division (78 kg). She is also a bronze medalist at the 2003 World Judo Championships in Osaka, Japan, and has captured a total of twenty-seven World Cup medals, including eight golds. San Miguel is a member of Centro de Alto Rendimiento Madrid Judo Club, and is coached by Sacramento Moyano.
Lyudmila Yuryevna Bogdanova is a Russian judoka, who played for the extra lightweight category. She is a multiple-time Russian judo champion, and a two-time gold medalist for the 52 kg division at the European Junior Judo Championships. She also achieved three top-five finishes in the women's 48 kg class at the European Judo Championships.
Lynn Joyce Roethke is an American female judoka. Among her most notable accomplishments, Lynn is a two-time Olympic athlete, a Pan American gold medalist, and World Champion Silver medalist. She was the first female to be inducted to the Black Belt Hall of Fame and voted as Olympic Athlete of the Year. She competed in the −61 kg division for most of her competitive career.

Margaux Pinot is a French judoka. In 2020, she won the gold medal in the women's 70 kg event at the 2020 European Judo Championships held in Prague, Czech Republic. In 2021, she competed in the women's 70 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Sanne van Dijke is a Dutch judoka. She is the 2017 and 2021 European gold medalist in the 70 kg division. She won one of the bronze medals in the women's 70 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She is also a two-time bronze medalist in the women's 70 kg event at the World Judo Championships.
Diane Bell is a British former judoka. She won the 56–61 kg event at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, but at the time women's judo was still a demonstration sport, so unlike the men Bell did not enter the list of Olympic medalists in judo. She also won two World Judo Championships, a Commonwealth Games gold and three European Judo Championships.
Romane Dicko is a French judoka. In 2021, she won one of the bronze medals in the women's +78 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. She also won bronze at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Dicko won gold in her event at the 2022 World Judo Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and she is a four-time gold medalist at the European Judo Championships.
Sanne Vermeer is a Dutch judoka. She is a bronze medalist in the women's 63 kg event at the 2021 World Judo Championships and the 2021 European Judo Championships. In 2019, she also won one of the bronze medals in her event at the European Games held in Minsk, Belarus.
Beata Pacut-Kłoczko is a Polish judoka. She is a bronze medalist at the 2022 World Judo Championships and a gold medalist at the 2021 European Judo Championships. She represented Poland at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Toyko, Japan and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
Raz Hershko is an Israeli Olympic silver medalist and European champion judoka. She was the 2015 European U18 Champion, the 2017 European U23 championships silver medalist, and won a bronze medal in the 2023 world championships. She competed for Israel at the 2020 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal in mixed team. She is the 2024 European Champion. Representing Israel at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Hershko won the silver medal in judo in the women's +78 kg, and also competed in the mixed team event, in which Team Israel came in ninth.
Gili Sharir is an Israeli judoka and Olympic bronze medalist, having won a bronze medal in mixed team event at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Sharir also won a bronze at the mixed team event of the 2022 World Championships. At the European Championships, she won a bronze medal in 2022 and a silver medal in 2023. Sharir represented Israel at the 2024 Paris Olympics in judo in the women's 63 kg, and in the mixed team event, at which Team Israel came in ninth.
Geronay Michaela Whitebooi is a South African judoka. She is a silver medalist at the 2019 African Games and a four-time medalist, including two golds, at the African Judo Championships.
