RockA is a Turkish music band, formed in 2005 in Ankara, generally producing works in nu metal, rapcore, alternative rock. Band, with producing amateur works for a long time period found a place in important activities and festivals and published their first major production in 2012 from DMC Music Company. Receiving support from Tarkan with the cover work of Tarkan (singer)'s cult song once affected a time period, published in 1997 Ölürüm Sana and Tarkan (singer)'s accompanying them in their music video turned all the medias eye to RockA in an instant.
In 2005, in Ankara, a local band that practised punk-rock style under the name "Twister"; by bass guitarist Cem Sönmez' invitation to Halil Özüpek, band both changed their name and music style and RockA was founded. Band, with this new structuring, recorded their first demo in early 2006 and joined between amateur music groups. "Zor" and "Kır Kapıları" named demos were adopted in a very short time by listeners who are interested in amateur music and with being downloaded hundreds of time over the internet laid a foundation to bands self-confidence.
At the beginning of 2007 firstly electric guitarist Barış Ceylan then drummer Ömer Uyanık were included to the band. The band recorded 3 demos with this members in early 2007 (Masal, Aynı Ben Gibi and Kaçarken). These 3 songs that were introduced to the audience through internet obtained bigger success than RockA's previously released demos. So much so that with the proposal that came from Dream TV (Turkey)'s Yüxexes programme at April 2007 a music video was shotto the song Masal. At the same month, first time ever about the band, a news was made in Yüxexes Magazine and RockA met written-visual media.
With 5th member that joined to the band by Halik Özüpek's invitation, Berkay Ertürk (Keyboard-Turntable), the band RockA began to appear more in media. By end of the very same year band entered to the studio for a demo and also in these month particularly with Aktüel, Billboard and Female magazines, interviews were done with many local and international printed media. With the following time period the band took stage in big festivals such as Barışarock 2008 and Rock-A 2008 and also local concerts.
After the album recordings that started in 2009 and finished in 2011 RockA; with the demo cover work of Tarkan's Ölürüm Sana they recorded in 2008 attended to the Miller Music Factory 2010 Competition. They received the second place award in cover category amongst thousands of other bands and were the only band that was invited to the Rock'n Coke 2011 Festival. During this period ways were parted with bass guitarist Cem Sönmez and Yiğit Üney joined to the band. With this member change occurrence and the final stage of album production band re-recorded old cover work of Ölürüm Sana . This recorded work was sent to Tarkan (singer) who is Turkey's most prominent artist and also the owner of the song. Tarkan, with also his great liking and support gave Ölürüm Sana song, which is one of the important steps in Turkish Pop Music, to RockA without any charge and at the same time period the band signed an album contract with DMC Music Company.
After entering to the year 2012 on one hand while first album works were continuing with DMC Music Company on the other hand the band published their first discographic work in 29 January 2012 Amongst 30 songs that were recorded for the album, Renksiz, Herkes Her Şey and Kaçarken were gathered in an EP and were introduced to the audience in digital platforms under the name Renksiz EP. In the following period in November 2012 Ölürüm Sana single was published under label of DMC Music Company. Band attracted all the attention with this cover work of Tarkan's cult song, that once affected an era, Ölürüm Sana . In fact, Tarkan (singer)'s giving this such a big song to a newly formed band without any charge and even though without performing a duet with the band accompanying RockA in their music video turned all the medias eye to RockA in an instant.
While this Ölürüm Sana, published at the end of 2012, singles effects were continuing RockA firstly published a mini album in digital platforms that consisted 3 songs (Yarın Yok, Aynı Ben Gibi, Kır Kapıları) under the name Yarın Yok EP in 2013 April. After that later in that year debut album "101" met the music lovers with the DMC Music Production label.
In 2014 the group entered in a standstill period. Earlier that year ways with Yiğit Üney (Bass Guitar) towards the end of the year with Barış Ceylan (Electric Guitar) and Berkay Ertürk (Keyboard) were parted. At the beginning of the year 2015 Enes Evci (Electric Guitar) and Burçin Bülbül (Bass Guitar) joined to the band. After this period of renewal the band began to their workings actively. Demo versions of songs that were recorded for the album 101 in 2015 June were gathered inside a different album under the name 101 Demo and met with listeners from all digital platforms.

Mehmet Barış Manço, better known by his stage name Barış Manço, was a Turkish rock musician, singer, composer, actor, television producer and show host. Beginning his musical career while attending Galatasaray High School, he was a pioneer of rock music in Turkey and one of the founders of the Anatolian rock genre. Manço composed around 200 songs and is among the best-selling Turkish artists to date and the winner of the most awards. Many of his songs were translated into other languages including English, French, Japanese, Greek, Italian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Persian, Hebrew, Urdu, Arabic, and German. Through his TV programme, 7'den 77'ye, Manço travelled the world and visited many countries. He remains one of Turkey's most popular public figures long after his death.
Muhtar Cem Karaca was a prominent Turkish rock musician and one of the most important figures in the Anatolian rock movement. He was a graduate of Robert College. He worked with various Turkish rock bands such as Apaşlar, Kardaşlar, Moğollar and Dervişan. With these bands, he brought a new understanding and interpretation to Turkish rock.
Moğollar was one of the pioneering bands in Turkish rock music during their early career and one of the founders of Turkish folk rock. They have been active for over 40 years. The band uses multi-layered dynamism in the Turkish folk genre to create a sonic similarity with pop music's dynamism.

"Walk This Way" is a song by the American rock band Aerosmith. Written by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, the song was originally released as the second single from the album Toys in the Attic (1975). It peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1977, part of a string of successful hit singles for the band in the 1970s. In addition to being one of the songs that helped break Aerosmith into the mainstream in the 1970s, it also helped revitalize their career in the 1980s when it was covered by hip hop group Run-D.M.C. on their 1986 album Raising Hell. This cover was a touchstone for the new musical subgenre of rap rock, or the melding of rock and hip hop. It became an international hit, reaching number 4 on the Billboard charts, and won both groups a Soul Train Music Award for Best Rap Single in 1987 Soul Train Music Awards. Both versions are in the Grammy Hall of Fame.
Unbreakable is the fifteenth studio album by German hard rock band Scorpions, released in 2004. In this release, Scorpions return to the style of music of their most successful albums, after experimenting with many different concepts and influences in the 1990s. This was the first album with Paweł Mąciwoda on bass guitar. Despite critical acclaim and extensive touring of the album, Unbreakable was not a big hit on the charts.
Acid Bath is an American sludge metal band from Houma, Louisiana that was active from 1991 to 1997. Regarded as one of the first and most influential sludge metal bands, they combined a doom metal foundation with elements of hardcore punk, death metal, gothic rock, blues, and Southern rock to create their unique sound. The band broke up following the death of bassist Audie Pitre in a January 1997 traffic collision, but announced a reunion in October 2024.

Come Closer is the debut English language album by Turkish pop singer Tarkan. The album was published in Europe, Asia, Japan, North America, South America, Australia. It was released by Universal Records on April 7, 2006, in Europe and Central Asia. Tarkan began recording the album in 1997, following the success of his third Turkish release Ölürüm Sana that year. Referring to the album's title, Tarkan said:
"I think that my music is very unique and connects both worlds. That's the reason why I named my album Come Closer. I believe in cultural sharing, in the idea of we-belong-altogether. In my opinion, music should have no borders and we should all try to come closer".
Ölürüm Sana is Tarkan's third studio album, released on July 5, 1997. The album was distributed in both Europe and Asia. It sold about 3 million copies in Turkey. This album received very good reviews, becoming one of Turkey's best-selling albums, and played a heavy role in catapulting Tarkan to the status of 'Mega-Star'.
Emre Aydın is a Turkish rock singer-songwriter. The singer won the MTV Europe Music Awards 2008 in the "Europe's Favourite Act" category. He is also the former lead singer for the Turkish rock band 6. Cadde.
Cem Filiz, better known by his stage name Cem Adrian, is a Turkish musician of Bosniak descent, singer-songwriter and record producer.
"Rock Box" is a song by the American hip hop group Run-DMC. The song was produced by Larry Smith and Russell Simmons and released by Profile Records in March 1984. Following the popularity of their previous two singles "Hard Times" (1983) and "It's Like That" (1983), Profile Records head suggested to the producers and group that they should attempt to record an album as they already had four songs ready, and releasing a few more would not hurt them. Despite speculating low sales from the label and the group not feeling that hip hop was a genre appropriate for a full-length album, they were given an advance to start recording. This led to Run-DMC members Joseph "Run" Simmons and Darryl "DMC" McDaniels going through their rhyme book to develop new songs, one of which would become "Rock Box".
Metamorfoz (Metamorphosis) is the renowned Turkish pop singer Tarkan's sixth studio album, which was released on December 25, 2007, in Turkey. The album was published in Europe and Asia.
Kurtalan Ekspres is a Turkish Anatolian rock band that has worked with several famous lead singers, such as Cem Karaca, Cahit Berkay, Barış Manço. The band takes its name from a train named Kurtalan Express, which travels between Kurtalan and Haydarpaşa. Kurtalan Ekspres was founded by Barış Manço in 1971, and initially included Murat Ses, Erdinç Avcı, Fuat Güner, Celal Güven, Özkan Uğur and Ali Serdar. In the late-1970s Bahadır Akkuzu joined the group as the lead guitarist. After Barış Manço's death in 1999, the band began working with Cem Karaca. After Cem Karaca's death in 2004, Bahadır Akkuzu took over the vocals, and later died of a heart attack in 2009.
"Salına Salına Sinsice" is the fourth single taken from Tarkan's 1997 album Ölürüm Sana. Lyrics and music were credited to Tarkan; although it was a much-loved song at the time of its release, there was some confusion as to who wrote it.
Artun Ertürk is a Turkish musician, composer, lyricist and producer, best known as the founder of the Turkish band Diplomatik Rock Opera (DRO) and the songwriter of famous Turkish singer Pamela Spence's many songs including national hits "İstanbul" and "Ayrılamayız Biz".
"Ölürüm Sana" was recorded in 1997 by Tarkan, named after the similarly named song Ölürüm Sana that is featured in the album. Its most popular song was "Şımarık", also known as "Kiss Kiss" in some countries. It sold 4 million copies worldwide, including 3 million sales in Turkey. "Şımarık", whose music and lyrics were both composed by Tarkan, found its place at number 1 in the Billboard Turkish Top 20 List of that year.
