Rodney Cornell Perry (born September 11, 1953) is an American football coach and former left handed defensive back. He is currently the defensive backs coach for the Oregon State Beavers.

Michael Joseph Riley is an American football coach who was most recently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Seattle Dragons of the XFL. He has previously served as the head coach of two college football programs: Oregon State and Nebraska (2015–2017). Riley has also been the head coach of teams in four different professional leagues: the Canadian Football League (CFL), World League of American Football (WLAF), National Football League (NFL), and Alliance of American Football (AAF). He also played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 1970s.
Amory Tingle "Slats" Gill was an American college basketball coach, the head coach at Oregon State University in Corvallis for 36 seasons. As a player, Gill was twice named to the All-Pacific Coast Conference basketball team. As head coach, he amassed 599 victories with a winning percentage of .604. Gill was also the head coach of the baseball team for six seasons and later was the OSU athletic director.
Richard Joseph Seigler is the current defensive line assistant coach of the Portland State Vikings college football team and former NCAA All-American and NFL Linebacker. He was drafted out of Oregon State University in 2004 by the San Francisco 49ers. In November 2005, he was acquired by the Pittsburgh Steelers, playing with them during their Super Bowl XL winning season. He finished up his playing years with the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL before moving on to his coaching career. Seigler played under the tutelage of National Championship Head Coach Dennis Erickson and Mike Riley in the college ranks. In the NFL, he played under Super Bowl Championship coaches Mike Tomlin and Bill Cowher.
Steven Packer Preece is a former professional football player, a defensive back in the NFL for 9 seasons, from 1969 to 1977. He played his college football at Oregon State, where he was a successful option quarterback.
Lester Allen Conner is an American professional basketball coach and former professional basketball player, who played for numerous NBA teams. On the floor at the collegiate level the 6'4" Conner was a "swingman," playing both the shooting guard and small forward positions, earning high collegiate honors as the 1982 Pac-10 Player of the Year.

Brady Patrick Hoke is an American football coach who is in his second stint as the head coach at San Diego State University. He was the head coach at the University of Michigan from 2011 to 2014. He grew up in Ohio and attended Ball State University where he played linebacker from 1977 to 1980. He began his coaching career in 1982 and held assistant coaching positions at Grand Valley State (1983), Western Michigan (1984–1986), Toledo (1987–1989), Oregon State (1989–1994) and Michigan (1995–2002).

Inoke Breckterfield [ee-NO-kay] is an American football coach who played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Toronto Argonauts (1999–2000) and Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2001–2003). He was an All-American defensive end at Oregon State in 1998. He is currently the defensive line coach for the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Lyle Moevao is a former college football quarterback for the Oregon State Beavers football team. Moevao was the starting quarterback for the Beavers for the 2008 season, throwing for 2,534 yards and 19 touchdowns with a quarterback rating of 128.41. He also helped the Beavers to a 3–0 victory in the 2008 Sun Bowl against the Pittsburgh Panthers.
The 2009 Pacific-10 Conference football season started on Thursday, September 3, 2009. Oregon won the Pac-10 title, which had been held by USC for the past seven years. Seven conference teams were invited to participate in post season bowl games, with only UCLA and USC winning their bowl games.
The 1985 Oregon State Beavers football team represented Oregon State University in the 1985 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Beavers started the season 2–0, their best start in 18 years, but lost all but one of their remaining games to post their 18th consecutive losing season. The Beavers' 3–8 record was their best in seven years. The 1985 season is best known for Oregon State's 21–20 win over Washington, the largest point spread upset before Stanford's 2007 win over USC.

The team's head coach was Mike Riley, in his ninth straight season and eleventh overall. Home games were played at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, and they are members of the North Division of the Pac-12 Conference. The Beavers finished the season 3–9 overall and 3–6 in Pac-12 play to finish in fifth place in the North Division. The team finished with their worst record since 1996.

The 1983 Oregon State vs. Oregon football game was a college football game played on November 19, 1983, at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, the 87th playing of the annual Oregon–Oregon State football rivalry game, then known as the Civil War. The game ended in a scoreless tie. Since overtime was added to NCAA Division I games in 1996, this game is likely to be the last with that distinction.

Gary Dwayne Payton II is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). As a junior and senior playing college basketball for the Oregon State Beavers, Payton was named first-team All-Pac-12 as well as Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. He is the son of NBA Hall of Famer Gary Payton. His nickname is "The Mitten", a reference to his father's nickname "The Glove".
