Rolf-Dieter Jaretzky (born 1935) is a pharmacist and philatelist who signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1997. [1]

Roll of Distinguished Philatelists

The Roll of Distinguished Philatelists (RDP) is a philatelic award of international scale, created by the Philatelic Congress of Great Britain in 1921. The Roll consists of three pieces of parchment to which the signatories add their names.

He was the president of the Grand Prix Club (1994–1996) and the director of the Bundesstelle Ausstellungswesen des BDPh. He is a fellow of the Royal Philatelic Society of London. [2]

He has formed leading collections of the philately of Mexico [3] and Prussia. [4]

Joaquín Galvez Naranjo was a philatelist who in 1965 was awarded the Crawford Medal by the Royal Philatelic Society London for his work Los primeros sellos de Chile 1853 a 1867. At the time it was published, this book was the first significant work on the philately of Chile since 1919. The book was reprinted by Postilion Publications in the 1990s with an errata sheet and a prologue by Álvaro Bonilla Lara.

Dr. Anton Jerger of Vienna was a philatelist who, in 1983, was awarded the Crawford Medal by the Royal Philatelic Society London for his handbooks on the philately of Austrian Lombardy-Venetia. He amassed a world class collection of this area over fifty years with his wife Elisabeth. The collection was sold in instalments by Corinphila with the first instalment alone raising $1,800,000.

Paulo Rodolpho Comelli FRPSL was a Brazilian philatelist who signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 2007.

Dieter Bortfeldt FRPSL was a graphic designer and award-winning philatelist who was a specialist in the philately of Colombia. He designed the "Famous Colombians" and "Tourism" postage stamps of Colombia issued in 1993.

Heinrich Köhler was a German philatelist who signed the Roll of Distinguished Philatelists in 1932. He was a stamp dealer and philatelic publisher. From 1904 until 1912 he ran and was the co-founder of Gilbert & Köhler, Paris. He is best known as the founder of the German auction house of the same name. This philatelic auction house was started 1913 in Berlin and still exists.

Meiso Mizuhara

Meiso Mizuhara was a Japanese philatelist who was known for his award-winning collections of the stamps and postal history of the countries of Asia and his books on those subjects. His collection of Chinese stamps and postal history was exceeded in importance only by that of Sir Percival David.
