Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is the major airport of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, China. Both airport codes were inherited from the former Baiyun Airport, and the IATA code is derived from Guangzhou's historical romanization Canton. Baiyun Airport serves as a hub for China Southern Airlines, FedEx Express, 9 Air, Hainan Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines.

They are owned by the Chinese property developers R&F Properties who took charge in June 2011. The club's English name R&F is short for "Rich" (富) and "Force" (力).

The 2010 Asian Games, also known as the XVI Asian Games, was a multi-sport event celebrated in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China from 12 to 27 November 2010, although several events had commenced from 7 November 2010. This was the second time China host the games, in which Guangzhou was the second Chinese city to host the Games, after Beijing in 1990. A total of 9,704 athletes from 45 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) competed in 476 events from 42 sports and disciplines, making it the largest event in the history of the Games. Due to reductions in the number of sports to be contested for the 2014 Asian Games, these Games marked the final time that six non-Olympic events would be held during the Asian Games.
Guangdong Television is a television network owned by Guangdong Radio and Television in Guangzhou, Guangdong province in China. Guangdong TV is the oldest television station in Guangdong province, based in Guangzhou, near the Guangzhou TV Station. The station covers Guangdong and Guangxi provinces. At present, Guangdong TV has a staff of around 1,800 people.
Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao Football Club is a professional Chinese football club that participates in the Chinese Super League under the license of the Chinese Football Association. Guangzhou–Zhuhai intercity railway or Guangzhu intercity railway is a dedicated, grade-separated regional railway linking Guangzhou South railway station in Panyu, Guangzhou, and Zhuhai Jinwan Airport in Zhuhai, via Shunde, Zhongshan and Jiangmen, in Guangdong province. It is the first line completed in the currently under construction Pearl River Delta Rapid Transit network. The section in Zhuhai from Zhuhai North to Zhuhai is also known as Line R1.

Foshan–Dongguan intercity railway, also called the Foguan intercity railway, is an under construction regional railway within Guangdong province, China, between the cities of Foshan, via Guangzhou, to Dongguan. It forms one leg of the Pearl River Delta Rapid Transit regional network and will provide connections with the Guangzhou–Dongguan–Shenzhen intercity railway, Dongguan–Huizhou intercity railway and local metro systems. It will connect Panyu District, Guangzhou at the major Guangzhou South interchange, tunnelling under the Pearl River through Machong and Hongmei to Wanghong Railway Station providing connections via the Dongguan Rail Transit, the Guangzhou–Dongguan–Shenzhen intercity railway or the Dongguan–Huizhou intercity railway. The length of the railway is 36.681 kilometres. Although this first phase of the project is named Foshan–Dongguan intercity railway, it does not pass through the city of Foshan in any way. The second section of this railway from Guangzhou South to Foshan West Railway Station has been planned, prepared and the line is under construction as the Guangfo intercity railway, the first phase of the Guangzhou–Foshan circular intercity railway.
