Roman Arch who was an Australian bred racehorse that was foaled in 1998. (Another Roman Arch was foaled in 1995 in New Zealand.)
Roman Arch was most famous for winning the 2006 Australian Cup at the odds of 60/1 with the TAB. His other group 1 win was the 2003 Toorak Handicap ridden by Luke Currie where he beat subsequent Cox Plate winner, Fields of Omagh. Roman Arch also won the 2005 Werribee Cup and 2005 Sandown Classic.

He was the leading sire in Australia nine times, the leading sire in Great Britain and Ireland three times and the leading sire in France twice.

George Washington was a thoroughbred racehorse foaled in Ireland by champion sire Danehill out of Bordighera. Bred by Roy and Gretchen Jackson, he was trained at Ballydoyle by Aidan O'Brien and owned by Susan Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith. The horse won two Group One races in Britain in 2006 before being sent to stud, where he suffered fertility problems. He was brought back to racing in 2007 but suffered a dislocated ankle fracture during the Breeders' Cup Classic at Monmouth Park on 27 October 2007 and was euthanised. The horse was nicknamed 'Gorgeous George' by his followers.

Lavender foal syndrome (LFS), also called coat color dilution lethal (CCDL), is an autosomal recessive genetic disease that affects newborn foals of certain Arabian horse bloodlines. Affected LFS foals have severe neurological abnormalities, cannot stand, and require euthanasia shortly after birth. The popular name originates due to a diluted color of the foal's coat, that in some cases appears to have a purple or lavender hue. However, not all foals possess the lavender coat colour, and colouring can range from silver to light chestnut to a pale pink. Carrier horses have no clinical signs and DNA testing can determine if a horse carries the gene.
Henrythenavigator is an American-bred and Irish-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. He won the 2000 Guineas, the Irish 2,000 Guineas, the St. James's Palace Stakes and the Sussex Stakes in 2008.

Pilgrimage (1875–1897) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse. As a two-year-old she was only defeated once and won the Dewhurst Plate. She only raced three times as a three-year-old, winning the 2000 Guineas and 1000 Guineas, before finishing as the runner-up in the Oaks Stakes. After retiring from racing she became a successful broodmare, foaling Oaks winner Canterbury Pilgrim and Derby winner Jeddah.
Mongolian Khan is a retired Australian-bred New Zealand-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. In 2015 he won the 140th running of the New Zealand Derby before going on to win the Australian Derby becoming the first horse to complete the double in 29 years. As a four-year-old he won the Caulfield Cup.
