The Roman Catholic Diocese of Itapetininga (Latin : Dioecesis Itapetiningensis) is a diocese located in the city of Itapetininga in the ecclesiastical province of Sorocaba in Brazil.
Itapetininga is a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The population is 165,526 in an area of 1790 km2. The name comes from a Tupi-Guarani language, meaning "dry stone".
