Russell Frank Ebert is a retired Australian rules footballer and coach. He is considered one of the greatest players in the history of Australian rules football in South Australia. Russell Ebert is the only player to have won four Magarey Medals which are awarded to the best and fairest player in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL).

Terry is currently the owner of Terry Daniher Cleaning Services, a cleaning company based in Melbourne.

Herbie Matthews was an Australian rules footballer who played for South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He was recruited to South Melbourne from suburban club Fairfield under the VFL's father–son rule. His father, "Butcher" Matthews, partnered the great Roy Cazaly in South Melbourne's ruck combination of the early 1920s. Although he was smaller and slighter in build than his ruckman father, he was a strong mark and showed a ferocious drive for possession of the football. He was recruited by South Melbourne at the age of 17 in the face of determined approaches from Collingwood and his local Victorian Football Association club, Northcote.

A graduate of the University of Arizona, Dillon has enjoyed a successful career both in Australia and overseas. Following a three-year stint in the NBL, Dillon carved out an impressive career in Europe with CSM U Oradea in Romania and with PGE Turów Zgorzelec in Poland. In 2015–16, Dillon had a standout season with Turów, averaging 16.3 points and 5.7 assists for the season. Dillon then relocated to Japan in 2016, where he spent the 2016–17 season with the Hiroshima Dragonflies.
Denis "Dinny" McKay was an Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) and Victorian Football League (VFL). He played briefly with Richmond, in 1892 and 1893, but otherwise was with South Melbourne until their final VFA season in 1896. His sudden death during the 1897 VFL season was considered a severe loss to football.
