The closest major city is Mildura, 300km to the south and the nearest State Capital City is Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, which is more than 500km to the southwest and linked via route A32.

Mining operations will produce 55 million tonnes of iron ore per annum with an operating life of more than 20 years.
