Russell Allen is a singer and lyricist best known as the vocalist of American progressive metal band Symphony X. He has also worked with supergroups Star One, Allen-Lande, Level 10, and as one of fourteen vocalists in the progressive symphonic metal band Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Since 2011, he has served as the frontman of the heavy metal band Adrenaline Mob.

Russell Allen is a former American football player. He was born in Oceanside, California. He played linebacker for San Diego State University. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars on April 26, 2009. On September 5, 2009, he became one of two undrafted rookies, the other being Julius Williams, to make the Jaguars opening day roster. Allen suffered a stroke on December 15, 2013 during a game against the Buffalo Bills. Doctors subsequently advised him to avoid playing again.

Russell D. Allen was an American cyclist who competed at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. There he placed fifth in the Men's Team Pursuit, 4,000 metres event alongside teammates Eddie Testa, Ruggero Berti and Harold Ade. Born in Orwell, Ohio, his family moved around several times during his childhood, until they settled in California, where his father died. He was athletically active throughout school and took up an interest in cycling during his junior year of high school. After competing at the 1932 Olympics, he raced professionally until World War II. Allen served as an officer and teacher during the war and found work as an automobile salesman afterwards. He also volunteered at the 1984 Summer Olympics and remained athletically active into his 90s. From 2006 until his death he was the oldest living American Olympic cyclist.
