Saghar District is situated in the most southwestern part of Ghor Province, Afghanistan with district center Titan (Saghar). The population is 33,700 people. The district, as the other mountainous districts in the province, suffers long and severe winters and continuing drought during the summer.

Saghar Siddiqui is a pen name of Muhammad Akhtar, an Urdu poet from Pakistan. In spite of his ruined and homeless alone life, he remained famous and successful till and after his death. Saghar is also known as a saint and when he died, he left nothing but a pet, his dog, who also died on the same foot path where Saghar died a year earlier.

There are about 2000 to 3000 shinwaris settled in village Ali zai, 15 km away from kohat, Pakistan who belongs to Shia community. In Afghanistan, the Shinwari are also located in Kunar province. Reporting from 2010 states that there are around 400,000 Shinwari in Afghanistan.

Kasur is a city to south of Lahore, in the Pakistani province of Punjab.
