Saini ministry is the council of ministers in the Indian state of Haryana headed by Nayab Singh Saini. The ministry was formed on 12 March 2024 and Saini along with five others took oaths of office. [1] [2] [3] [4] The first cabinet expansion took place on 19 March 2024 8 mlas took oath as ministers out which one cabinet and seven minister of state.

History

The ministry was formed on 12 March 2024 when Manohar Lal Khattar resigned after ending the coalition of BJP-JJP alliance (2019 - 2024). Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new leader of the Haryana Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha member from Kurukshetra, Nayab Singh of the BJP and 5 other legislators at Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh. [6] [7]

Government formation

Nayab Singh Saini formed the government with the support of six independent MLAs and one MLA from Haryana Lokhit Party. [8]

Rakesh Daultabad was an Indian politician. He was elected to the Haryana Legislative Assembly from Badshahpur in the 2019 Haryana Legislative Assembly election as a member and Independent candidate. Daultabad defeated Manish Yadav of Bharatiya Janata Party. Later as an independent MLA he supported Manohar Lal Khattar's and Nayab Singh Saini's governments in Haryana. He was the founder of Parivartan Sangh, an organisation that aims at facilitating healthcare, improving education levels, empowering women and taking several other community initiatives. Improving Badshahpur's educational standards and healthcare and encouraging youth to enter politics are some of the key issues Daultabad focused on. He died from a heart attack at a private hospital in Gurugram, on 25 May 2024, at the age of 45.

Devender Singh Babli is an Indian politician belonging to Jananayak Janata Party. He was chosen as a Cabinet Minister in the Haryana Government on 28 December 2021. He was elected as a member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly from Tohana on 24 October 2019.

He was also the MP from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency from 2019 to 2024, Minister of State, Government of Haryana from 2015 to 2019 and the member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly from Naraingarh Assembly constituency from 2014 to 2019. He was elected as the Leader of BJP's Legislative Party and subsequently became the Chief Minister of Haryana after the resignation of Manohar Lal Khattar came weeks before the 2024 general election.
