St. Anthony's Catholic High School or SACHS is a Catholic high school established in 1996 and began full operations in 1997. It is situated in Ijofi, Ilesa, Osun State, Nigeria.
As a result of persistent request from parents of pupils in the local Franciscan Nursery and Primary School and from the general public, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Osogbo decided to establish a private Secondary School in Ilesa, Osun State.
By October 1996, a temporary site was established at the compound of the Ijofi-Ilesa Franciscan nursery and primary school, which provided some classrooms and basic facilities, pending the development of the permanent site of about 60 plots of land, comprising about ten hectares along Iyemogun Road.
Preparatory classes for prospective students commenced in October, 1996 with about 100 students who had written and passed the entrance examination. By January 1997, the proprietor the Most Reverend Bishop Gabriel 'Leke Abegunrin, gave his approval for the establishment of the school, and the school was officially named. Application was made to the Ministry of Education at the Osun State Government for official approval, resulting in a series of official inspections being conducted by the State Ministry of Education. Provisional approval was given by the government in a letter dated 20 January 1997, and the school was formally opened as the first catholic private high school in Ijesaland, and the first to be established by the newly created Osogbo catholic diocese.
Reverend Mary O. Gerard and Chief Lawrence Ade Ogedengbe were appointed as the first Administrator and Principal of the school.

Osogbo is a city in Nigeria. It became the capital city of Osun State in 1991. Osogbo city seats the Headquarters of both Osogbo Local Government Area and Olorunda Local Government Area. It is some 88 kilometers by road northeast of Ibadan. It is also 108 kilometres (67 mi) by road south of Ilorin and 108 kilometres (67 mi) northwest of Akure. The Third Order of Saint Francis, is a third order in the Franciscan order. The preaching of Francis of Assisi, as well as his example, exercised such an attraction on people that many married men and women wanted to join the First Order (friars) or the Second Order (nuns), but this being incompatible with their state of life, Francis found a middle way and in 1221 gave them a rule according to the Franciscan charism. Those following this rule became members of the Franciscan Third Order, sometimes called tertiaries. It includes religious congregations of men and women, known as Third Order Regulars; and fraternities of men and women, Third Order Seculars. The latter do not wear a religious habit, take vows, or live in community. However, they do gather together in community on a regular basis. The Franciscan Apostolic Sisters (F.A.S.) is a Roman Catholic religious congregation that was founded in the Philippines in 1953 by Father Gerardo Z. Filippeto, O.F.M.. Father Gerardo was a missionary in the remote Northeastern region of the nation. He founded this congregation of Franciscan tertiary sisters to help in the work of the missions and spreading the Gospel in that region.

Iree is a Yoruba town in the north-eastern part of Osun State, Nigeria, West Africa. Its geographical coordinates are 7.55 North and 4.43 East. Iree is one of the major towns in the Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State. It is located on the Osogbo-Illa-Orangun road, about 30 km from Osogbo and 8 kilometers from Ikirun. It is surrounded by the following towns: Ikirun, Iba, Eripa, Ada, Aagba, Ororuwo, and Iragbiji. Iree and many other towns in the same region have their names beginning with the letter ‘I’ and so, are usually described as being located in the ‘I’ District. Such towns include Ikirun, Iba, Illa-Orangun, Inisa, Iragbiji, Iresi, Itake and Imoleke. Iree is also situated in a valley amidst seven prominent hills which, in the past, have served as natural fortresses in times of war — primarily during the Yoruba civil wars of the nineteenth century and most especially, from hostile neighboring communities. The seven hills are: Eru Hill, Ilako Hill, Ipole Hill, Adanimole Hill, Aganna Hill, Apo Hill, and Maye Hill. The 7-hill topography of the town makes it a beautiful attraction to tourists and the warm hospitality of its people makes a visit to Iree a pleasantly memorable experience that brings tourists back there time and again.
Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola is the current Minister of the Federal Ministry of Interior of Nigeria. Before that he was the fourth civilian governor of Osun State. He is a native of Ilesa, Osun.
Olusola Adeyeye is a Nigerian biologist and politician who was elected Senator for the Osun Central constituency of Osun State, Nigeria in the April 2011 federal elections. He ran on the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) platform. He also got re-elected into the Nigerian senate under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2015.
