The Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel is the oldest Orthodox church in Sochi and the entire Black Sea Oblast of the former Russian Empire. Its construction was decreed by Grand Duke Michael Nikolaevich of Russia with a view to commemorating the victorious conclusion of the prolonged Caucasian War in 1864.
The existing building was designed by Alexander Kaminsky. It was built between 1874 and 1890 with funds provided by Savva Mamontov and Count Felix Felixovich Sumarokov-Elston, among others. The church, long neglected by the Soviets, was restored in 1993. The domed baptistery and the sunday school were built next to the church in the 1990s.

Midway, now called Midway Mills, was established on June 6, 1774, by Dr. William Cabell,, and was the first European settlement in Nelson County. It was named Midway because it was midway between Richmond and Lynchburg along the James River. The area, at that time part of "Old Albemarle County", was later divided into the counties of Albemarle, Amherst, Buckingham, Nelson, and Fluvanna between 1741 and 1809.
Samborsko is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Jastrowie, within Złotów County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It was founded in 1580 and had a church. The village lies approximately 5.5 kilometres (3 mi) west of Jastrowie, 23 km (14 mi) west of Złotów, and 114 km (71 mi) north of the regional capital Poznań.
The Schnalstal is a side valley of the Vinschgau in the autonomous province of South Tyrol, Italy. It belongs almost in its entirety to the municipality of Schnals, while small parts in the entrance area lie in Naturns und Kastelbell-Tschars. The Vernagt-Stausee reservoir is located in the valley. Braunes Bergschaf, a rare breed of domesticated sheep, is raised there. In 1991, Ötzi -- a well-preserved natural mummy from about 3300 BC -- was found in the nearby Schnalstal glacier.

The Dominion Timber and Minerals Railway was a private standard-gauge railroad that operated in the Laurentian Mountains of Southwestern Quebec, Canada from 1916 to 1981. Owned by Canadian Refractories Limited, the railway's 20km mainline stretched from CRL's magnesite mine in Kilmar, through an extremely rugged mountain route to its final terminus at Marelan. Originally a narrow-gauge railway from 1916 to 1933, the Dominion Timber and Minerals Railway expanded to include a 65-ton locomotive and several freight cars.
