Atreyu is an American metalcore band from Yorba Linda, California, formed in 1998. The band consists of vocalist Alex Varkatzas, guitarists Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel, bassist Marc "Porter" McKnight, and drummer/clean vocalist Brandon Saller.
The Curse is the second studio album by American heavy metal band Atreyu, released on June 29, 2004, under Victory Records. The album went on to produce three singles, "Bleeding Mascara" "Right Side of the Bed" and "The Crimson".
Visions is the debut release of American metalcore band Atreyu. It is a seven-track EP and was released during 1999 although the exact release date is unknown, as no confirmation on the EP's release date has been made. It is suspected that the EP was sold at the band's local shows and, as a result, is currently very difficult to find. It was released through Die Trying Records, a Yorba Linda, California independent label. As heard on this EP, much of their earlier sound is influenced by hardcore punk music. Unlike every other Atreyu album, Brandon Saller does not sing on the album in addition to playing drums.

Smilers is an Estonian rock band formed in 1991 by Hendrik Sal-Saller. The name comes from a Rod Stewart album, Smiler. The band was first named Lezer Brozers. In the early years they tried in Finland with two albums, but didn't find success, so they came to Estonia and became famous very fast. Smilers won Artist of the Year award in the 2004 Estonian Music Awards. Smilers were also awarded a Golden Disc for Song of the Year in 2004 for "Ainult unustamiseks".

Brandon Kyle Saller is an American drummer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is the drummer and vocalist of the metalcore band Atreyu. He is responsible for the melodic singing found in the band's music. He is the band's primary songwriter, along with guitarist Dan Jacobs. Following Atreyu's hiatus in 2011, Saller focused on his side project Hell or Highwater, where he is the lead vocalist. In 2011, the group released their debut album, Begin Again, in 2011. The band released an EP entitled The Other Side in August 2013. Saller returned to Atreyu in 2014 and has remained a full-time member of the group since.

Cosesaurus is a genus of archosauromorph reptiles likely belonging to the family Tanystropheidae. It is known from fossil imprints of a single small skeleton, MGB V1, which was found in Muschelkalk outcrops near the municipalities of Mont-ral and Alcover in Spain. These outcrops are dated to the Ladinian age of the middle Triassic about 242 to 237 million years ago. The specimen is stored at the Museu Martorell, which is now part of the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona. The poor preservation and likely juvenile nature of the specimen has led to the anatomy of Cosesaurus being misidentified by several different sources. For example, Paul Ellenberger claimed that it was an ancestor to birds in the 1970s, while Dave Peters claimed that it was a pterosaur ancestor in 2000. Both of these claims contrast with mainstream scientific theories on the origins of either group, and other paleontologists who study the specimen are unable to find the features which Ellenberger or Peters reported to be present. The Ellenberger and Peters hypotheses are thus considered fringe theories with questionable scientific soundness due to their low reproducibility. Mainstream hypotheses for the relations of Cosesaurus generally agree that it is a "protorosaur", specifically a tanystropheid closely related to long-necked reptiles such as Macrocnemus, Tanytrachelos, Tanystropheus, or Langobardisaurus.

The song itself was one of the first Atreyu songs to gain them mainstream attention, with the video being played extensively on MTV2 and Uranium.
