San Diego's Gay Bar History is a 2018 documentary film written and directed by Paul Detwiler in his feature length directorial debut. Detwiler also produced the film with Chris Cashman.
The film was Detwiler's feature length debut. [1] The film was made for $38,000 [2] and featured vintage clips including the AIDS epidemic during the 1980s [3] and follows with the closing of Numbers bar in Hillcrest. [4] Nicole Murray-Ramirez is one of the community leaders featured. [3]
The film premiered at FilmOut San Diego in on June 10, 2018 [3] and was chosen out of 180 submissions [2] to air on KPBS-TV on June 14th. [5]
