The San Diego Toreros men's soccer team is the men's soccer program that represents the University of San Diego (USD). The Toreros compete in NCAA Division I as a member of the West Coast Conference (WCC). The team plays its home games at Torero Stadium.

Torero Stadium is an outdoor stadium in San Diego, California, located on the campus of the University of San Diego (USD). Opened in 1961, it is the home of the San Diego Toreros football and men's and women's soccer teams. The Toreros compete in NCAA Division I (FCS) as a member of the Pioneer Football League (PFL) for football and the West Coast Conference (WCC) for soccer. James Mario Brovelli is the former men's basketball head coach of the University of San Francisco (USF) Dons and hall of fame player.

John Bradley Holland is a retired American professional basketball player. He played for four years at UCLA. He was a member of the 1980 Los Angeles Lakers championship team. He was the University of San Diego head basketball coach until March 2007. On April 25, 2007, he was named as one of three finalists to become the new head coach of UC Riverside's men's basketball program, but lost out to Jim Wooldridge. Holland served as an assistant coach at UC Santa Barbara during the 2008–2009 and 2009–2010 seasons.

As the No. 7 seed in the WCC Tournament, they defeated Portland, Santa Clara and BYU to advance to the semifinals where they lost to Saint Mary's. They received an at-large bid to the NIT where they lost in the first round to Memphis.

The Toreros were led by head coach Sam Scholl who was in his fourth and final year at that time. They played their home games at the Jenny Craig Pavilion in San Diego, California, as members of the West Coast Conference (WCC). They finished the season 15–16, 7–9 in WCC play, and got the seventh place. They defeated Pepperdine in the first round of the WCC tournament before losing to Portland in the second round.

1983–84 San Diego Toreros men's basketball team represented University of San Diego during the 1983–84 men's college basketball season. The Toreros were led by head coach Jim Brovelli and played their home games at USD Sports Center. After having just a .500 conference winning percentage after six conference games, the team won their final six WCAC games to secure the regular season conference title. San Diego received a bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the play-in round to Princeton. It was the first time in program history the Toreros won the WCAC title as well as their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The team was led by all-conference forward Mike Whitmarsh, who was a runner-up that year for the conference player of the year award. Brovelli was named the conference coach of the year.
