Later his family had to settle in a village in Multan(West Punjab). We get its proof in the biography of Pandit Gurudutt Vidyarthi (Sardana) and In the Short Ethnographical History of Arorvansh or Arorbans Panchayat(1888). Short Ethnographical History of Arorbans Panchayat

In 1881 in Lahore, Punjab, an English writer had declared Khatri and Arora as different, due to which Arora Vansh Panchayat, in 1888, while replying, made a record of 16 pages, in which they wrote the history and told that they are not different but one and the same. They said that this thing has been done to divide the Aroras who were Khatris of Sindh and Khatris of Punjab (Malhotra, Kapoor, Bedi, Sodhi, etc.) separately, so that they could not fight the British. They also told that what kind of Kshatriyas we are and what are our customs, in which they also told the history of Sardana surname (Khatri). This was written in the history document of Arorbansh Panchayat:

In the primitive period of the society the Aroras(Arorvanshi khatri) were devoted to Government service as well as to trade etc. A sub-division of our caste called SARDANA believes that they are the descendants of a Rajput king(The word Rajput is used for the son of a king and not for caste) who laid down his head (life and soul) in the defence of his country and whose family later migrated to a village near Multan. They have a family history which proves without any hesitation the foregoing statement that our community is definitely the descendants of true Kshatriyas and they have such deeds which are the characteristics of a true Kshatriya
