Lucan ( LOO-kən; is a suburban area located roughly 12 km west of Dublin city centre on the River Liffey. It is located near the Strawberry Beds and Lucan Weir, and at the confluence of the River Griffeen. The area is under the jurisdiction of South Dublin County Council. Informally, some townlands north of the River Liffey are said to be in the area as well. They may include Laraghcon, Coldblow and Saint Catherine's Park which are formally in the jurisdiction of Fingal County Council. Road access to Lucan is from the N4, and the M50 motorway at Junction 7.

The 2020 Cork Intermediate A Hurling Championship is the inaugural staging of the Cork Intermediate A Hurling Championship and the 111th staging overall of a championship for middle-ranking intermediate hurling teams in Cork. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 19 November 2019. The championship was scheduled to begin in April 2020, however, it was postponed indefinitely due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games. The championship eventually began on 1 August 2020, however, it was suspended indefinitely on 5 October 2020.
