The Sarychat glacier is a north-south-aligned glacier in the Western Kokshaal-Too mountains of southern Kyrgyzstan. The southernmost ridge delimiting the glacier marks the border with China. The Sarychat glacier is one of two glaciers which feed the Sarychat river before it merges with the Aytali, the other being the Fersmana Glacier to the west.

Essex is an unincorporated community in Flathead County, Montana, United States. Located in the northwestern part of the state, Essex lies along the Hi-Line railroad line, near Glacier National Park, 31 miles (50 km) southwest of East Glacier and 26 miles (42 km) southeast of West Glacier. Amtrak's Empire Builder makes a flag stop at Essex station, westbound at 7:41 pm and eastbound at 8:55 am. The Izaak Walton Inn hotel is close to the Amtrak station platform. Essex also is home to a small BNSF Railway yard. Historically, it was used to provide coal and water for steam trains, and to station helper units used to push freight trains over Marias Pass. It is still used to base snow-clearing crews in wintertime.

Vinson Plateau is the summit plateau of Vinson Massif, Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica. It extends for 9 km between Goodge Col and Hammer Col linking it to the north-central part of Sentinel Range to the north-northwest and to Craddock Massif to the south-southeast respectively, and 4.5 km wide between Branscomb Peak and Silverstein Peak to the west and Schoening Peak and Marts Peak to the east. Elevation from 4000 m to 4600 m above sea level. Rising from the plateau is the summit of Antarctica Mount Vinson, and several other peaks higher than 4700 m, albeit of modest prominence: Clinch Peak, Corbet Peak, Silverstein Peak, Schoening Peak and Hollister Peak. The lower peaks of Fukushima and Opalchenie stand at the south extremity of the plateau. Its central part is drained by Roché Glacier and a tributary glacier in Jacobsen Valley, with both of them joining Branscomb Glacier.
Goldsmith Glacier is a glacier flowing west-northwest through the Theron Mountains of Antarctica, 6 nautical miles (11 km) south of Tailend Nunatak. It was first mapped in 1956–57 by the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (CTAE) and named for Rainer Goldsmith, medical officer with the advance party of the CTAE in 1955–56.
Brook Glacier is a glacier that flows westward between Mount Strybing, Mount Allen and Krusha Peak on the west side of Owen Ridge in southern Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica, and joins Bender Glacier east of Chaplin Peak. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (2006) after Edward J. Brook, Professor of Geosciences, Oregon State University; U.S. Antarctic Project investigator of Antarctic paleoclimate in numerous field seasons from 1988; Chair, U.S. National Ice Core Working Group for use of Antarctic ice cores for research purposes, 2004–05.

Bishop Glacier is a glacier flowing southwest into the Mozart Ice Piedmont, situated in the northwest portion of Alexander Island, Antarctica. This feature was named by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-names Committee (UK-APC) in 1980 after James Francis Bishop (1950-1980), a former glaciologist of the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) 1972–78, who worked in Alexander Island, 1973–75. He was killed in the Karakoram Range, Pakistan, on July 14, 1980, at this time, he was a member of Royal Geographical Society International Karakoram Project.
