Scheps is a natural landscape in the municipality of Balen, Antwerp Province, Belgium.
A natural landscape is the original landscape that exists before it is acted upon by human culture. The natural landscape and the cultural landscape are separate parts of the landscape. However, in the twenty-first century landscapes that are totally untouched by human activity no longer exist, so that reference is sometimes now made to degrees of naturalness within a landscape.
Balen is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality comprises the towns of Balen proper and Olmen. On 1 January 2011, Balen had a population of 21,305. Total area is 72.88 km², giving a population density of 283 inhabitants per km².

Located on the valley of the Grote Nete, between Olmen and Scheps, in this territory can be found several plants such as the marsh cinquefoil and the calla, and birds like the common kingfisher, the European stonechat and the bluethroat.
