Scott Reifert is the vice president of communications for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball. He currently pens Inside the White Sox, the team's official blog.
He also serves as president of Chicago White Sox Charities.
He first joined the club in 1983.
In his current role, he oversees the club’s strategic communications efforts, media services, mass communications functions, public relations activities, community relations initiatives and the team’s Web site, whitesox.com.
A 1982 graduate of the University of Iowa, Reifert also has a master's degree in sports management from Western Illinois University. He is married to Amy Howley, head women’s soccer coach at the University of Chicago.

The Memphis Red Sox were an American Negro league baseball team that was active from 1920 to 1959. Originally named the Barber College Baseball Club, the team was initially owned and operated by Arthur P. Martin, a local Memphis barber. In the late 1920s the Martin brothers, all three Memphis doctors and businessmen, purchased the Red Sox. J. B. Martin, W. S. Martin, and B. B. Martin, would retain control of the club till its dissolution in 1959. The Red Sox played as members, at various times, of the Negro Southern League, Negro National League, and Negro American League. The team was never a titan of the Negro leagues like wealthier teams in northern cities of the United States, but sound management led to a continuous thirty-nine years of operation, a span that was exceeded by very few other teams. Following integration the team had five players that would eventually make the rosters of Major League Baseball teams and two players that were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The Twins–White Sox rivalry is a Major League Baseball (MLB) rivalry between the Minnesota Twins and the Chicago White Sox. Both clubs are members of MLB's American League (AL) Central division. Both teams were founding members of the AL; they have played each other annually since 1901 when the Twins played as the Washington Senators and the White Sox played as the White Stockings. However, the rivalry did not begin in earnest until the 2000s, when the White Sox and Twins consistently battled for the AL Central crown. The White Sox lead the overall series, 1,184–1,125–16. The teams have never played each other in the Major League Baseball postseason.
