Sean Henry (born 1968 in Long Island) [1] is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Hockey League's Nashville Predators. [2]
Henry worked his way up from the concession stands at Jones Beach State Parks to executive-level positions within the NHL. In May 1999,he became the COO of the Tampa Bay Lightning,a role he held permanently until December 2008 and on a consulting basis from January 2009 to August 2010. [3] [4] [5] In 2004,the Lightning won the Stanley Cup against the Calgary Flames and Henry was among those who had their name engraved on the Cup. [6] He joined the Nashville Predators franchise in 2010,assuming his role of President and Alternate Governor on September 7 of that year. [3] Michelle Kennedy became the new President and Alternate Governor on July 14,2023,allowing Henry to focus on his role as CEO and the organizations growing sports and entertainment portfolio. [7]
A Long Island native,Henry attended the State University of New York for his Bachelor's degree. [6] [3] [8] He is the uncle of M3 Technology's COO Michael Caton.[ citation needed ]. Henry and wife Tracey live in Franklin,Tennessee,have four children,and one grand daughter. They are active in their children's schools,activities and countless charities;The Weaver Center,The YWCA,Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt,College scholarships,Wings of Liberty among countless other initiatives.
The Nashville Predators are a professional ice hockey team based in Nashville,Tennessee. The Predators compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Central Division in the Western Conference,and have played their home games at Bridgestone Arena since 1998. Their television broadcasting rights are held by Bally Sports South,and the Nashville Predators Radio Network flagship station is WPRT-FM. The Predators are currently affiliated with two minor league teams:the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL),and the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL.

James R. Lites is an American sports executive who is CEO and alternate governor of the Dallas Stars of the NHL. He was formerly the president of Hicks Sports Marketing Group,and as such was president of the Stars and Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball,both of which were holdings of Tom Hicks,from 1993 to 2002 and from 2003 to 2007. Lites was briefly president and COO of the Phoenix Coyotes from March through December 2002. He was brought back as president and CEO of the Stars on November 18,2011 when the club was sold to Tom Gaglardi. He has since yielded the presidency to Brad Alberts,but is still operating head of the franchise. Lites had previously been an executive in the front office of the Detroit Red Wings during the 1980s.
