Seville was a rock group formed in the winter of 2001, by Mike Marsh of The Agency and Dan Bonebrake of The Vacant Andys and formerly Dashboard Confessional. They disbanded in 2003, with all members pursuing other projects.
Mike Marsh is the drummer for The Avett Brothers and formerly of Dashboard Confessional. Mike was featured on all Dashboard Confessional's albums, from The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most to Alter the Ending. He also played with them for MTV Unplugged. In 2006, Marsh and Dashboard Confessional did an AOL Sessions recording, playing not only their songs, but a cover of "In A Big Country" by Big Country. According to posts by Mike on Facebook, he officially joined The Avett Brothers as their drummer in early 2013. Mike is also an engineer and record producer. He has a recording studio in East Nashville called Papermill Studio.
Dashboard Confessional is an American rock band from Boca Raton, Florida, led by singer-songwriter Chris Carrabba. The name of the band is derived from the song "The Sharp Hint of New Tears" off their debut album, The Swiss Army Romance.
Both The Agency and The Vacant Andys were South Florida bands active around the time that Dashboard Confessional was gaining momentum. Marsh and Bonebrake formed Seville with ex-Vacant Andy John Owens and ex-Agency Chris Drueke [1].
Seville quickly recorded the first 6-song e.p. "Waiting In Seville" on Fiddler Records and went on tour with Dashboard Confessional. By the end of 2001, Seville had already toured with Ben Kweller, Sense Field, Duvall, Further Seems Forever, Ultimate Fakebook, Midtown, and Rival Schools. After that tour, Marsh became a full-time member of Dashboard Confessional, while Bonebrake remained in Seville. Drueke at this time became the primary vocalist [citation needed], and they recruited Kris King (Against All Authority/Machete) on drums. This line-up recorded four songs for a split release with Duvall and subsequent tour in the summer of 2002.
Fiddler Records was a small independent record label serving as the launch pad for several artists seminal to the pop, punk and emo genres. Starting as the brainchild of 16-year-old entrepreneur Amy Fleisher Madden in 1996, the label became well known for its early releases from marquee artists Dashboard Confessional and New Found Glory. Over the course of 10 years, Fiddler Records developed a steady roster of successful artists such as The Bled, The Higher, Recover, Juliette & The Licks, Name Taken and Classic Case.

Sense Field was an American rock band from Southern California, formed in 1991 following the demise of Chris Evenson and Jon Bunch's previous outfit, Reason To Believe. The band broke-up in 2004, although they briefly reformed for two Revelation Records' anniversary shows in 2012 and 2013 as well as a pair of Jon Bunch memorial shows in 2016.
Midway through the tour all the members of Seville realized that the personality conflicts and the chemistry without Mike was just not enough to keep going. The band parted ways on the second night of tour with Schatzi. In the van ride home, the guys gave Chris Drueke their blessings to continue with Seville should he so desire. Chris Drueke then recorded what was intended to be a solo CD entitled "Take Me Home." Through some prodding from friends, family, and the record label, the CD was released under the name Seville in early 2003. Though Drueke released a live recording of an acoustic performance under the name Seville, the band's life was practically over.
Schatzi is an American band from Oklahoma, based in Austin, Texas, formed in 1996 by Montez Williams, Christian Kyle, Jason Westbrook and Jason Altman.
Current projects
Mike Marsh and Chris Drueke have since reunited with Klaus Ketelhohn to revive The Agency. The new CD from the Agency entitled "Turn" will be released February 6 on Perch/Eulogy. Dan Bonebrake is currently playing with Vagrant Record's John Ralston, and John Owens is playing with ex-Vacant Andy Darryl Bonebrake in Band No.12.
John Ralston is an American acoustic/electric guitarist singer and songwriter. He is originally from Lake Worth, Florida, and is a member of the band Legends of Rodeo, which is currently on an indefinite hiatus. He has released two full-length albums, two EPs, and just released his third solo record, Shadows of the Summertime. A 7"single of "Jesus Christ b/w A Marigny Christmas" was released in early 2011.
Further Seems Forever is an American rock band formed in 1998 in Pompano Beach, Florida. Over its initial eight-year run the band experienced several lineup changes, resulting in a different lead vocalist performing on each of their first three studio albums. Original singer Chris Carrabba recorded The Moon Is Down (2001) with the group before leaving to start Dashboard Confessional. He was replaced by Jason Gleason, who performed on How to Start a Fire (2003) but left the band the following year. Former Sense Field vocalist Jon Bunch joined Further Seems Forever for Hide Nothing (2004). The band broke up in 2006 but reunited four years later with Carrabba on vocals. Their fourth studio album, Penny Black, was released in 2012.
"Vindicated" is a song by Dashboard Confessional released on the 2004 soundtrack for the film Spider-Man 2 as well as on Dashboard Confessional's 2006 album, Dusk and Summer, as a bonus track on some pressings and on deluxe edition versions. Played over the film's end credits, "Vindicated" is the theme for the film.
