Students in grades 10–12, who wish to pursue training in a specific career path or field may attend the Somerset County Technology Center in Somerset Township.

Athletics

Shade participates in PIAA District V's [5] WestPac Conference. Students at Shade participate in Johnstown Christian School's Soccer team and Shanksville-Stonycreek's Golf, Rifle and Girls Tennis Teams. Meanwhile, Shanksville-Stonycreek's students come to Shade to participate in Football and Track and Field under cooperative sports [6] agreements.

Johnstown Christian School is a private Christian school in Hollsopple, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1944 by a group of Mennonite families who were concerned about the spiritual growth and development of their children. The school was reorganized in 1973 as the Johnstown Christian School to better reflect the broader Christian community of the Johnstown area that was being served. The school serves children in kindergarten through 12th grade.
