The Bangladesh Nationalist Party is a centre-right,political party in Bangladesh and one of the major political parties of Bangladesh. It was founded on 1 September 1978 by the late Bangladeshi President Ziaur Rahman after the Presidential election of 1978,with a view of uniting the people with a nationalist ideology.
