Shawn Murphy (born December 17, 1982) is a former American football guard. He was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL draft. [1]
Murphy was also a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, and Denver Broncos. He is the son of former Major League Baseball player Dale Murphy. [2]
He played one year of college football at Ricks College before going on a two-year Mormon mission in Brazil; on his return, he attended several schools including Dixie State College of Utah before finishing at Utah State, where he earned academic all-conference honors. [3] As a senior in 2007, he earned one of the top consistency grades of any player at his position in the collegiate ranks. He led all WAC offensive linemen with 137 knockdown blocks while also only allowing one quarterback sack. As a result, he received All-American honorable mention and All-WAC second-team recognition. Vincent Frank Testaverde Sr. is an American former football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 21 seasons. He played college football at the University of Miami, where he earned consensus All-American and won the Heisman Trophy in 1986.

Hugh Donell Green is an American former football linebacker who played for 11 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) from 1981 to 1991. He played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers as a defensive end, and was recognized as a three-time consensus All-American. Green was selected in the first round of the 1981 NFL draft, and played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Miami Dolphins.
