Jet are an Australian rock band formed in 2001. Founding mainstays are brothers Nic and Chris Cester together with Cameron Muncey. They were joined in the following year by Mark Wilson. The quartet released three studio albums Get Born (2003), Shine On (2006) and Shaka Rock (2009) before disbanding in 2012. Get Born is their highest charting work, which peaked at number one in Australia, top 20 in the United Kingdom and top 30 in the United States. Its lead single "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" (2003) reached the top 20 in Australia and UK and top 30 in the US. Both Shine On and Shaka Rock are Australian top five albums, while their other top 20 singles are "Look What You've Done" (2004), "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is" (2006) and "She's a Genius" (2009).

The single was their 11th to top that chart, setting a record they still hold, extended in 2016 to 13 number ones.

It was released on August 1, 2007, and debuted at #1 on the Oricon Daily Charts, ending as #2 overall for the week. It was TVXQ's first single in Japan to reach this position on the daily charts and was considered a milestone for the Korean boyband's rising popularity in Japan. The album's biggest competition in sales was with Zard's "Zard Request Best: Beautiful Memory", the last album after its lead vocalist Izumi Sakai's death in 2007.
"Purple Line" is Tohoshinki's 16th Japanese single, written by the Korean composer who made Tohoshinki's biggest hits in Korea such as "Rising Sun" and ""O"-Jung.Ban.Hap." It became Tohoshinki's first Japanese single to reach #1 on the Oricon Weekly sales chart in Japan, making the group the first foreign male group or boyband to top the Japanese charts and second Korean artist after BoA to do so. "Purple Line" was Tohoshinki's first single that was originally released in Japanese and later released in Korean as a single. According to the members, the name "Purple Line" refers to the thin rays of light on horizon when the sun sets. Despite being the first #1 single from Tohoshinki, it is not their strongest single in terms of physical sales, with "Break Out!" having the biggest lead in Japan. It was released a week before their third Japanese album T which included the song in its tracks.
"Oh!" is a song by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. The song is a lead single from the second studio album of the same name and was digitally released on January 25, 2010. The group used a cheerleader concept for the song's promotional activities. The song reached number one on the Gaon Digital Chart and won several times on the Korean music chart shows Music Bank and Inkigayo. The song ranked at number five on the year-end Gaon Digital Chart for 2010 and was also the second best selling single of the year, selling over 3.3 million copies. Music site Monkey3 named "Oh!" the best song in 2010.

"Jet Coaster Love" is the third Japanese single of South Korean girl group Kara. The single was originally set to be released on March 23, 2011, but following the 2011 Great Tohoku Earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan, the physical single was rescheduled to April 6, 2011. In order to help out the areas affected by the disaster, the group had decided to donate all proceeds from the sales of this single, both physical and digital, to relief efforts. It eventually became the group's first single to reach #1 on Oricon Daily and Weekly charts.
"Mr. Taxi" is the first original Japanese song recorded by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. It was released as a double A-side single with the Japanese version of "Run Devil Run" on April 27, 2011, as the third single from the group's eponymous debut Japanese album. Composed by STY, Chad Royce and Scott Mann, with the Japanese lyrics written by STY and Korean lyrics written by Jung Hye-young, "Mr. Taxi" is an electropop and R&B song. A Korean version was later recorded and included on the group's third Korean studio album The Boys, and was released as the album's second single in December 2011.

The track was written by E'Dawn, Hui, Yuto, Wooseok with Flow Blow credited as the producer. This is the last Korean single to feature E'Dawn due to his hiatus and subsequent departure from the group.
