Shyamambaram is a 2023 Malayalam language television Soap Opera that premiered on 6 February 2023 airing on Zee Keralam. It is produced by Remadevi of Green TV and stars Haritha G Nair in the titular role. [1] [2] [3] The series is an official remake of Zee Bangla's drama Krishnakoli .

Plot

The story revolves around Shyama, a dark-skinned girl, who sets out to remove stigma attached to colour. She marries Akhil and faces discrimination due to her complexion. A talented singer, she sets out on a journey to create an identity for herself. Shyama believes that her complexion is akin to that of Lord Krishna's. Her life changes after marriage when she goes on to make a career in music. Shyama's mother-in-law dislikes her. [4] [5]

This is a spin off to Mizhi Randilum and Shyamambaram where Sachi and family from Mizhirandilum and Archana and family from Shyamambaram plays the central characters. [7] It depicts the married life of Sachi and Archana.
