Silver Gulch Brewing & Bottling Company is a brewery in Alaska, United States. [1] It was founded in 1998 in Fox, Alaska, outside Fairbanks. It is one of approximately 30 breweries in the state, despite Alaska's small population and preponderance of dry communities. [2] It is also the most northerly brewery in America, located only a few degrees south of the Arctic Circle. [3] The company's brewing vessels were acquired from the defunct Conners Brewery in St. Catharines, Ontario. [3]
In December 2012, the brewery opened a retail outlet at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. [4]
Newcastle Brown Ale is a brown ale, originally brewed in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Launched in 1927 by Colonel Jim Porter after three years of development, the 1960 merger of Newcastle Breweries with Scottish Brewers afforded the beer national distribution and sales peaked in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s. The beer underwent a resurgence in the late 1980s and early 1990s with student unions selling it. Brewing moved in 2005 from Newcastle to Dunston, Tyne and Wear, and in 2010 to Tadcaster. In 2017, the Heineken Brewery in Zoeterwoude, the Netherlands, also began production. Since 2019, it has also been brewed, as well, by Lagunitas Brewing Company in Petaluma, California, and Chicago, Illinois, for the American market.
Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport is a major airport in the U.S. state of Alaska, located 5 miles (8 km) southwest of downtown Anchorage. The airport is named for Ted Stevens, who served as a senator of Alaska from 1968 to 2009. It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a medium-hub primary commercial service facility.

Midnight Sun Brewing Company (MSBC) is a craft brewery that produces over 40 different ales and lagers each year. Founded in 1995, it is Anchorage, Alaska's first brewery and the second oldest in state history, following Alaska Brewing Co. in 1986. The brewery has been in their current location since May 2009, with a tap-house and full-service restaurant. MSBC has won several awards for their beers, including medals from the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup. The brewery sells its beers in 12-oz cans, 22-oz bottles, 5 gallon kegs, and 64 oz growlers. Their U.S. distribution is limited to AK, WA, ID, OR, CA, HI, and NY.
The Homer Brewing Company is a brewery in Homer, Alaska, near the southern end of the Kenai Peninsula. It was founded on September 21, 1996. The brewery specializes in unfiltered, unpasteurized, cask-conditioned beers. Their beers are available in 64 US fl oz (1,900 ml) growlers, 20 US fl oz (590 ml) bottles and on tap in many local establishments.
Great Basin Brewing Co. is a brewery headquartered in Sparks, Nevada. It is Nevada's largest and oldest currently operating brewery—though not the state's longest operated. Great Basin beers are available as bottled draught beer at over 400 locations in Northern Nevada and the surrounding regions, including Aces Ballpark. It also serves beer at special events, such as the Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off and The Great Reno Balloon Race.
