Karl Malden was an American actor. He was primarily a character actor who, according to Robert Berkvist, "for more than 60 years brought an intelligent intensity and a homespun authenticity to roles in theater, film and television", especially in such classic films as A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) – for which he won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor – On the Waterfront (1954), Pollyanna (1960), and One-Eyed Jacks (1961). Malden also played in high-profile Hollywood films such as Baby Doll (1956), The Hanging Tree (1959), How the West Was Won (1962), Gypsy (1962) and Patton (1970).

The F470 Combat Rubber Raiding Craft (CRRC), also known as the "Combat Rubber Reconnaissance Craft," is a specially fabricated rubber inflatable boat often used by the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Army, and others. Hats Off to the Buskers is the debut album by Scottish band The View. It was released on 22 January 2007 on 1965 Records. It was reported on the band's official forum that the album had leaked to various internet sites in mid December 2006. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at #1 on 28 January 2007. The album charted at #45 in the UK end of year album chart, after selling around 319,000 copies in 2007. The album has been certified platinum. It was nominated for the 2007 Mercury Prize.

Dryburgh, Dundee

Dryburgh is the name of a district of Dundee, Scotland, home to The View. The band featured locations throughout the area in their video for their 2006 track Superstar Tradesman. The Dryburgh estate has been used for the band's 2007 videos for Skag Trendy and The Don. These videos also feature areas of Lochee near Dryburgh, in particular 'Davies' cafe in Lochee high street.

Kieren Webster

Kieren Clark Webster is the bass guitarist and occasional lead vocalist for Scottish band The View; he is also the lead vocalist for band WEB. On 27 March 2020 WEB released their first single ‘Haze’. Along with frontman Kyle Falconer, he writes the majority of The View's material. In 2006, he was placed 6th in NME's Cool List. He and Falconer alternate roles on some songs such as "Skag Trendy", "Gran's for Tea", "One Off Pretender", "Realisation", "Fireworks and Flowers", "Hole In The Bed" and "Cracks", with Webster taking on guitar and lead vocals and Falconer replacing him as bass guitarist and backing vocalist. He and other band members are from the Dryburgh district of Dundee.

"The Don" is the fourth single by Dundee band The View, it was released on 23 April 2007 as a double A-side along with "Skag Trendy". It follows the singles "Wasted Little DJs", "Superstar Tradesman" and "Same Jeans", and is taken from the debut album Hats Off to the Buskers. The single did not do as well as its predecessors, only entering as far as the UK Top 40, reaching a disappointing #33 in the UK Singles Chart. However, this was to be their final UK Top 40 single so far as their next four singles were to miss the UK Top 40 altogether.

The single did not do as well as its predecessors, only reaching a disappointing #33 in the UK Singles Chart. One of the B-sides, "I've Just Seen a Face", is a Beatles cover.

"Hit the City" is the second and last single from Lanegan's breakthrough album Bubblegum. The song features the English rock musician PJ Harvey. "Hit the City" peaked at 76 on the British singles chart and was Lanegan's first single to chart.
