The 2024 Summer Olympics women's street skateboarding competition will occur on 28 July 2024 at Place de la Concorde in Paris, France. [1]

This will be the second edition of the event after it has been introduced at the 2020 Olympics. The defending champion Momiji Nishiya will not be present, but the 2020 medalists Rayssa Leal (silver) and Funa Nakayama (bronze) both qualified for the event.

Qualification

Competition format

All 20 skateboarders do two 45-second runs, and then five single tricks rounds. Only the top 4 scores from the seven rounds for each skateboarder counts toward the final score. The top 8 skateboarders from the semifinals qualify for the finals, where the scores are reset and follow the same two 45 second round and five single trick round format.

Each nation could send up to 4 riders. Cian O'Connor of Ireland initially received the gold medal, but that medal was stripped from him due to doping. After his disqualification, the event was won by Rodrigo Pessoa of Brazil, the nation's first medal in individual jumping. Silver went to Chris Kappler of the United States, with bronze to Marco Kutscher of Germany.

The men's long jump was a track & field athletics event at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris. It was held on July 14 and July 15, 1900. 12 athletes from six nations competed. The event was won by Alvin Kraenzlein of the United States, the second consecutive victory for the American team. Myer Prinstein, also an American, took silver. Patrick Leahy, an Irish athlete competing for Great Britain, took bronze; it was the first long jump medal for a non-American athlete as the United States had swept the 1896 medals.

The American Century Championship is a celebrity golf tournament that takes place at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, on the shore of Lake Tahoe in Nevada, United States. The tournament is held annually, during the weekend after the second full week of July. It has a number of traditions, including the Long Drive Challenge, Charity Chip Challenge, and the Korbel Hole-In-One Contest. Each nation could have up to 4 riders. The event resulted in a three-way tie for first and a medal jump-off. Dutch riders Jeroen Dubbeldam and Albert Voorn finished first and second in that jump-off, earning the Netherlands' first gold medal and second silver medal in individual jumping. Khaled Al Eid earned Saudi Arabia's first medal in the event with his bronze, finishing third in the jump-off.
