The Cribs are a British indie rock band originally from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, that formed in 2001. The band consists of twins Gary and Ryan Jarman and their younger brother Ross Jarman. They were subsequently joined by ex-The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr who was an official member of the group from 2008 until 2011.

It was recorded in 7 days in mid/late 2003 at London's Toe-Rag Studios, a vintage styled 8-track studio in the Hackney area. It was self-produced by the band with Ed Deegan engineering, all except track 9, "Tri'elle", which was culled from the band's original sessions at Fortress Studio with Chicago-based Avant-Garde musician Bobby Conn. In 2005, this record was awarded the prestigious American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) College Award. Previous winners have included Coldplay and Franz Ferdinand.
Gary John Jarman is a British musician, best known as the bassist and one of the singers of the indie rock band The Cribs. Formed in 2002, The Cribs have released eight albums to date, and numerous singles and EPs. As of 2016 their latest three records have charted in the UK top 10, alongside 7 top 40 singles. He has lived in Portland, Oregon, since 2006.

24–7 Rock Star Shit is the seventh studio album by English band The Cribs. It was released in August 2017 under Sonic Blew, a partner label of Sony RED. The album is the band's second album recorded at Electrical Audio with producer Steve Albini following 2012's In the Belly of the Brazen Bull. The album has been described as a back-to-basics return to the band's early punk/grunge sound in contrast to the more pop-driven sound of their previous album For All My Sisters.
Night Network is the eighth studio album by English band The Cribs. It was released on 20 November 2020 via PIAS, under the band's own Sonic Blew imprint. The album is the band's first fully self-produced album. The album was recorded over spring / summer of 2019, at the Foo Fighters' Studio 606 in Los Angeles, California, and at Halfling Studios in Portland, OR.
