Sons of Lioth are a Belgian heavy metal band from Herenthout.
Sons of Lioth was founded in 2005 by guitarists Sublimo and Supremo. The band released a 5-song demo in 2006 titled Destination Earth. At first, it received a positive response and saw a good review in Mindview. In 2009, they released a full album called Legends. The tracks Spartacus and Last Unicorn were included, as well as a live version of Raise your fist and a bonus track Wrecking Ball. The band split up shortly thereafter in 2010 due to unknown reasons. Unable to promote their new album, it was tucked away for a select audience. In 2013 they released a new EP named Large Hadron Collider Spider featuring five new tracks, including the title song. The EP got a good review on metalstorm and one from infernal masquerade, saying 'this EP is by far better than most of the mainstream Heavy Metal that was produced in the last 10 years'.
Sons of Lioth's most recognizable features are the strong lead vocals, easy-listening arrangements and guitar solos. They are considered a part of the new wave of traditional heavy metal (NWOTHM) an ongoing movement that in recent years has seen the return of traditional sounding metal bands (similar to the Swedish glam metal revival) the name is taken from the new wave of British heavy metal in which the movement strongly identifies with. Other bands considered part of the movement include White Wizzard, Enforcer and Cauldron.
Darkthrone is a Norwegian extreme metal band from Kolbotn, Akershus. Formed in 1986 as a death metal band named Black Death, in 1991 Darkthrone embraced a black metal style influenced by Bathory and Celtic Frost and became one of the leading bands in the Norwegian black metal scene.
Thrash metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music characterized by its overall aggression and often fast tempo. The songs usually use fast percussive beats and low-register guitar riffs, overlaid with shredding-style lead guitar work. Frontman Spider One, younger brother of fellow metal musician Rob Zombie, has been the only consistent member of the lineup since the band's formation.
Power metal is a subgenre of heavy metal combining characteristics of traditional heavy metal with speed metal, often within symphonic context. Generally, power metal is characterized by a faster, lighter, and more uplifting sound, in contrast with the heaviness and dissonance prevalent, for example, in extreme metal. Welcome to Hell is the debut studio album by English extreme metal band Venom. It was released in December 1981, through Neat Records, and recorded at Impulse Studios during the new wave of British heavy metal movement. Much of the material on the album was written prior to the bands formation, and was primarily written by vocalist and bassist Conrad Lant and guitarist Jeffrey Dunn. At the time, Lant worked as an assistant engineer and tape operator at Impulse Studios and managed to get the band studio time to record and release two demos in 1980, as well as the bands first single, In League with Satan / Live Like an Angel in April 1981. Following a positive reception and strong sales of the bands single, Venom were asked by Neat to record and mix all the material they had written in just three days. These re-recorded demos were hastily bundled together and would be released as the band's debut album, unpolished and with little production value.
Angel Witch is the first album by British heavy metal band Angel Witch. The album was released in 1980 through Bronze Records, and since then re-released in four editions over the years. The cover features a painting formerly attributed to John Martin titled The Fallen Angels Entering Pandemonium. The album made Angel Witch one of the key bands in the new wave of British heavy metal movement.
Racetraitor is an American hardcore punk band originally from Chicago, Illinois. The band attracted controversy in the late 1990s, before any releases, as a result of their radical take on racial politics, which focused on ideas like systemic racism and white privilege before they were widely discussed topics in popular or underground culture. Racetraitor was also a key proto-metalcore act being one of the first few bands to incorporate extreme metal influences, such as death metal, grindcore, and doom metal, into hardcore.
Abominog is the 14th studio album by British rock band Uriah Heep, released in March 1982 by Bronze Records in the United Kingdom, and in September 1982 by Mercury Records in the United States. It was their first album without keyboardist Ken Hensley. Cauldron is a Canadian heavy metal band formed in 2006 in Toronto following the breakup of Goat Horn, with guitarist Brandon Wars leaving to form a new band, Zuku. Cauldron consists of Jason Decay on vocals and bass guitar, Ian Chains on guitar and Myles Deck on drums.
Kill, I Oughtta is the debut extended play of American heavy metal band Mudvayne. It was self-released by the band in 1997. In 2001, the EP was reissued by Epic Records under the title The Beginning of All Things to End. The reissue featured, as additional tracks, remixes of "Dig", the rare unreleased track "Fear", and "L.D. 50", a 17-minute sound collage which originally appeared as interludes on that album. It is the only release by Mudvayne to have any participation from original bassist Shawn Barclay.

Dystopia is the tenth studio album by American heavy metal band Iced Earth. Released on October 17, 2011, it was the band's first album to feature vocalist Stu Block, who joined after previous vocalist Matt Barlow left the band. Super Collider is the fourteenth studio album by American heavy metal band Megadeth. It was released on June 4, 2013, and is Megadeth's first album to be released on Tradecraft, a Universal label created for frontman Dave Mustaine. In the U.S., a special edition of the album was made available exclusively through Best Buy retailers. The album features a guest appearance from Disturbed and Device vocalist David Draiman. On April 23, 2013, the title track was released on iTunes as the album's lead single.
Plagues of Babylon is the eleventh studio album by American heavy metal band Iced Earth. Released in January 2014, the album is the group's first studio release with bassist Luke Appleton and the only with drummer Raphael Saini, who was a guest on the album. According to rhythm guitarist and band leader Jon Schaffer, half of the album is focused on his "Something Wicked" concept, while the other half are stand-alone songs.

Alternative bands like Nemesis, Arbovirus and Black also played some alternative metal songs over the years. Warfaze, Artcell and Aurthohin together are the most popular rock/metal trio of Bangladesh.
