Soulstice is a downtempo/electronic soul band that is a part of the US based record label Om Records [1] and later to Uno Recordings. [2] The band started after a collaboration between Gabriel Rene and Andy Caldwell in 1995. The band was composed of Rene (vocals), Gabriel Rene (keyboards), Mei-Lwun (DJ turntable) and Caldwell (keyboards and producer). [1] They are influenced by jazz, blues, neo-soul, drum and bass, hip hop, and bossa nova. [3]

Gina and Gabriel Rene are the sister and brother of US The X Factor season 1 contestant and second runner-up Chris Rene. Caldwell has gone on to perform solo and producing artists through Uno Recordings, a music producing label that he established in 2004.

Soulstice has released three albums: Illusion (2001), its accompanying remix album Mixed Illusions (2001), and In the Light (2011).

CMJ New Music Monthly called it "tasteful and alluring, if not particularly memorable". [4]

They released the album Mixed Illusions in 2001.

Apartment Life is the second studio album by American band Ivy, released by Atlantic Records on October 6, 1997. After being dropped from Seed Records following the release of Realistic in 1995, the group signed to Atlantic due to connections that Adam Schlesinger had with the record label. In addition to band members Andy Chase and Schlesinger, the album was produced by Lloyd Cole and Peter Nashel. In contrast to their previous releases, such as Lately (1994) and Realistic, Apartment Life is a pop album with varying forms of production consisting of keyboards, brass, and string instruments. Some of the compositions featured on the record were compared to the works of My Bloody Valentine, Pixies, and the Smiths. Lost & Found: Hip Hop Underground Soul Classics is a double-disc album containing previously shelved albums Center of Attention, by InI, and The Original Baby Pa, by Deda. Strange Fruit Project is an underground hip hop group from Waco, Texas, which consists of producer and emcee Symbolyc One, his cousin emcee Myth and emcee Myone. The trio officially debuted in 2004, with a pair of underground releases, Soul Travelin and From Divine. Their biggest exposure came with the release of their acclaimed 2006 album The Healing. "Disappointed" is a song by American indie rock band Ivy. It was released as the second single from their third studio album, Long Distance (2000). It was released exclusively in the United States on July 10, 2001 by Nettwerk. The release was simultaneous with the release of '"Edge of the Ocean". The track was written by Dominique Durand, Adam Schlesinger and Andy Chase, while production was handled by the latter two and Peter Nashel.

The Naysayer was a country-rock band founded in 2000 by singer-songwriter Anna Padgett, the band's only permanent member, and former Retsin drummer Cynthia Nelson. The band released four studio albums before disbanding in 2006.
